Another reason the starting list is probably small is because the developers have to consent on their games and to make sure this announcement didn't leek, they had to keep it small with trusted developers.

In a few years time I will have most of my 180+ 360 games on my X1, all for free, and I can get rid of my 360. That is a great deal however few games are available from the start. When this day started, how many games were BC on X1? And now we have 15 :).

It's only 15 for preview members. It's not available right now. When it launches for everyone else later this year it will have over 100 games.

Will have to wait and see exactly how many of the first 100 games I actually own and want to play again could be huge if they add something like Lost Odyssey down the road.

VM is based in emulation... there is not way to make a game developed to X platform run in Y platform without emulation unless you recode the game like a port.

PS Virtaul Machines (VMs) emulates all hardware of a determined platform... it is emulation after all.

I will reply to this just to tag this, going to sleep now. But I guess there is need of clarification of technical things here that people get wrong.

But how much memory on your hardrive would 180 games take? :O

The feature isn't going to be available until the holiday season, so since this is the list of games available "now" I guess this is that early build for Xbox Preview people they were talking about.
