Yeah, click bait title needs to go. GOW is God of War, the series in the OP is either Gears or GeOW.
On topic, (since I'm here). I like that they have a remastered version of GeOW. The game definitly did not age well after playing 2 and 3. So for those just getting into the series, this will be a much better experience. That is the whole point of the remasted games. Give brand new players a current feeling version of an old game, or to give huge fans, a chance to experience an enhanced version of something they love.
As for GeOW4. I have to see more. Right now I am not to excited about Gears, Uncharted, Halo, Zelda, etc. These just all feel like the same games I have been playing since PS1. I will play them to see where they go, but I am much more interested in Vive, Oculus, Morpheus, and Hololens. It's time for a new way to play games.

Wow the gameplay was fluid as expected. I'm looking forward to this storyline. I hope the Cole train comes back. I love his humor when I'm playing.

Yeah, Gears of War is just "Gears". God of War is GOW.
Could never get into the Gears games but have been meaning to go back and try again. This could be a good time to do so. Like many others, I wish it was a collection. A little bit of a missed opportunity I think.
I am very disappointed that it isn't a collection but with BC, I am content anyways :).
Has MS given a price for the remaster?

Didn't they already make that game and call it God of War Ascension.
Probably will not call it 4, as the connotation of the word in the Japanese language.
Some of y'alls are too fussy. GOW could be either game, but I have seen GoW as God of War, and GOW as Gears Of War, not sure why but some do that. I usually say Gears though.
