It didn't blow me away, but it was a good conference.

+ Backwards Compatibility, it's important for me
+ Gears of War 4 looked ok (but where did the storm go?)
+ Some nice looking indie games like Cuphead
+ Mods coming to a console game? I like the idea, and I hope other games will get them too

- As always, too many CGI trailers and too little gameplay
- EA's infocomercial wasn't needed. At all.
- Disappointed by Rare's new IP
- Meh about Hololens and Minecraft.

I'll give it a 7.

Microsoft announced around 3-4 games. What a fucking waste of conference time. I mean, Halo 5, Fables Legends, Gears of War 4, Forza Motorsport 6, Cuphead and so on. there where so many games we already knew about. fuck.

Those are still some good reasons to own a One.

I tune in to these press conferences to see what is "new", not was ... "is".

On a side note, their gameplay demos even failed them, none of them was super exciting.

For Microsoft they did a fine job. It's just games like Halo, Gears and Forza mean nothing to me and have no appeal.

For me I did not see a single game that I wanted or could not play elsewhere. Backwards compatible is nice, but not a big deal to me. To me I rate conferences on how they excite me, and this did nothing for me.

if they focus too much on the possible expensive VR headset, I doubt it.

There is no way that any other conference will feature MORE games than Micro's because they just announced over 30+ games and the whole 360 catalogue.

Lol @ anyone acting as if backwards compatibility is not a megaton. I doubt anybody was expecting that.

Same thing with Fallout 4 mods being able on Xbox One.

I see that backwards compatibility and I want it for PS4 so then it comes down to what games I want to be backwards compatible. I plan on buying a 360 some time down the line for like 3 or 4 games so being able to play 360 games in the Xbone makes me consider purchasing the system instead, for when it is like $150 or lower or something.

The Fallout Mods will be an interesting thing to watch. Some mods demand better hardware so it will be interesting to see how they tackle that barrier. I am sure not all mods will be usable. Perhaps exapansions and such, there could be problems though. Maybe we will have things like: Fallout 4 Mods (Xbone Compatible) or something.

Either way, Fallout games take me hundred of hours to finish, I get to a point when I just want to finish the game so mods (apart from those that better graphics) may not be that vital for me.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

They could spend 1h on VR and make a boring conference, if they announce 4 exclusives after that like Horizon/TLG/a game from MM/ a game from Level 5 ( though could be at level 5 conf ) , when you will make the summary of the conference, they will have easily win

Now i have no doubt PS4 will get a much better E3 with a lot more new exclusive announcements ( not difficult to do more than one...)

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

weak
at least gears 4 looks very good.
gonna play that

But that's what we are hoping but add to that the possible third parties partnership and there's less time than that to announce those games.  I really hope I'm wrong but I decide to have realistic expectations.

Gears 4 looked fucking awesome. Cool to see Gears be dark and gritty again.

Rise of the Tomb Raider was the best game of Microsofts Conference.

Other than those games it was VERY underwhelming. No Bombshells were dropped.
