try to refresh the internet settings on your PS4 it should make it faster. I think the default/out of the box settings arent properly set

most games dont even utilize 50gb. Bloodborne is 33gb for example.

As above comments, games can be compressed, in fact PS4 has a hardware decompressor for rapid on the fly unpacking of compressed data.
PlayGo/Play as you download works on pretty much every game and works the same way disc games work, install a GB or two, then start and dowload the rest in the background.
As for speeds I get it's hit and miss, sometimes it's painfully slow, which feels more like a software problem rather than server problem, other times it maxes out my line speed.
PS, PS2, Gameboy Advance, PS3, PSP, PS4, Xbox One
But how is Bloodborne 40 GB for you? Mine is 30.04 GB with all the patches installed.
GTA was compressed to 55GB. Not really much of a difference. Really shouldn't complain. You want digital. Wait for the download.
This is a good reason why I don't buy games like these digitally.
Also because my internet speed sucks. -_-

Later on in this gen we'll probably see it more, there's plenty of games last gen that cracked the 40 GB barrier (even though they were usually improperly compressed), big games like GTA5 are pretty big.
