If it is Nintendo 1st party made, then yes. Nintendo fans often tend to buy anything that Nintendo themselves make. Outsourced stuff like Metriod: Other M and DKC: Tropical Freeze aren't always as successful. Even they managed to top 1 million though. So this game will probably hit 2 million+ if it is made by Nintendo themselves.
