If this is true then how is he at fault?

Americans are sometimes known for being a little overzealous with their suing or their entitlement with everything. I eventually want to travel the world and experience everything. It's more difficult to do that when everyone thinks you're gonna sue 'em.

You make it sound like anyone can start a lawsuit, but it's really not that easy. Lawyers are expensive and charge by the hour, and if you're going up against someone who has tons of money, they can just keep rescheduling and either convince you to settle (for nothing), or bankrupt you.

Anyone with money or a decent shot at winning/getting settlement can sue. Sometimes the negative PR can pressure a company into settling on a lawsuit to just be done with it.

This doesn't surprise me. Japan is one of the most xenophobic countries in the world. There are so many cases like this it's not even funny. And I love the prejudice towards Americans in here.

a company should be able to hire and fire who they want- if they don t treat people well then their base of employees will be smaller and talent pool will be smaller so a company that is more opne should be able to hire more talent- however f they can run their company best w only Japanese then so be it- I would much rather know how I am thought of by a company than being treated well to my face to then think feel and act the opposite when not in my presence

Yep I kind agree... the problem is some cases there are a lot of abuse and the employee need the job and won't just leave, so they will suffer some or a lot even.

I agree w you too-  in the short term it would be difficult but sooner or later the companies reputatons would be well known and the type of people they treated poorly would just refrain from seeking empolyment there and would seek employmet at a company in which they were more welcome-   no mattter what te terms the business world encompasses some ugly truths to be sure- it is unecesary and unfortunate but do to greed and selfishness, the human condition etc   every way has flaws-     But IMO when people and compnaies ffeel pressure to hire this type of person or that type to satisy some quota (real or imagined)  it causes more friction than already exiist in the business world

and when american became a race?

About the same time Hispanic / Latino became one

Curiously Hispanic or Latino (as beiing originated in Portugal and mainly Spain) have a clear definition of race (skin color and other traits... it isn't bound to place he is born, but phisical characteristics... now tell me which phisical trait all americans share... race and ethinicit is different as well.

For me quotas are preposterous in general...

On the company "fame" that is true for big companies (for which the rankings and public pressure exist already)... I'm more concerned on smaller companies that fly bellow radar.

My father-in-law had such an in-and-out case that the other guy's lawyers quit and he had to get new ones. He still lost because the other guy had enough money to drag it through court, and he still had to pay to get a lawyer. You really don't seem to understand how law works, so why are you commenting on it?

Wow, I really hate discrimination and if this is true it is horrible of the staff to do those things.

ugh. So you think that I don't understand how law works and because of what you think, I shouldn't comment on law?

"Anyone with money or a decent shot at winning/getting settlement can sue."

Did you see anything in that sentence about guaranteed to win?

Did I word it like this?    ------>      "Anyone with money or a decent shot at winning/getting settlement will win."

No.

Obviously, you dislike my point of view on the topic but at some point in your line of thought, you stopped going after my points.

So why am I commmenting on it? Hmm... I wonder why.
