a company should be able to hire and fire who they want- if they don t treat people well then their base of employees will be smaller and talent pool will be smaller so a company that is more opne should be able to hire more talent- however f they can run their company best w only Japanese then so be it- I would much rather know how I am thought of by a company than being treated well to my face to then think feel and act the opposite when not in my presence

Yep I kind agree... the problem is some cases there are a lot of abuse and the employee need the job and won't just leave, so they will suffer some or a lot even.

I agree w you too-  in the short term it would be difficult but sooner or later the companies reputatons would be well known and the type of people they treated poorly would just refrain from seeking empolyment there and would seek employmet at a company in which they were more welcome-   no mattter what te terms the business world encompasses some ugly truths to be sure- it is unecesary and unfortunate but do to greed and selfishness, the human condition etc   every way has flaws-     But IMO when people and compnaies ffeel pressure to hire this type of person or that type to satisy some quota (real or imagined)  it causes more friction than already exiist in the business world
