Good numbers for Splatoon, especially when it was only on sale for like 4 days of the month or something.

I'd expect to see a boost in Wii U sales in June, and probably similar sales for Splatoon again since Nintendo are still bringing out new content for it (and marketing it quite well from what I hear).

WOW. Looks like the thing can change... 25% less than PS3 and 70% less than PS2... and next month Batman bundle will not change the trend, considering PS3 was over 400k and PS2 nearly 700k.

PS2 had the first price drop in May 2002... $299 to $199.

That is why it sold 523,868 (it is not 514k btw).

WU weekly sales in May of last year:
WU sales rise by +300% in the Mario Kart week, and sold 61k in the intere month.
WU was probabily at +30k. WU sold with avarange of 12k in April of last year...
That's what i think the sales was:

10M: 10k
17M: 9k
24M: 8k
31M: 34k
May: 61k

June, we have 140k. So... some like:
7J: 32k
14J: 30k
21J: 28k
28J: 26k
5J: 24k
Jun: 140k


Well, that's my estimate... i think the sales for WU this May are:
9M: 9.5k
16M: 8.5k
23M: 7.5k
30M: 17.5k

June will be like last year, maybe the boost will be even bigger, because as we already see, Splatoon legs are massive, and WU in Japan the week after Splatoon sold more than the first week...

June prediction:
6J: 22.5k
13J: 22.5k
20J: 20.5k
27J: 18k
4J: 16.5k
Jun: 100k

I know, but after this pricedrop, the PS2 sales was costant at +400k, +500k some time... and nearly 3 million in December... i don't think PS4 can sell at this level.

Still, i never said that PS4 did bad, just, after the megaton launch, the sales are not so impressive... of course i know that PS4 still not have a official pricedrop, but like XBO (well, maybe not at this level :P) have some very good promotion, bundle with games, and unofficial pricedrop...

It will be interesting to see how the US sales go up if PS4 get a $100 price cut like PS2 did.

Not even PS2 in the pricedrop month sold at this level... and Wii was even more expensive! (250$ VS 200$)

Different situations.

PS2 not even got a $100 price cut to reach these level of sales but it was being sold at $199... the $199 price points was really strong even 13 years ago.

What is the comparable point today? $249? $199? PS4 won't reach this price point until the second price cut.

I see PS4 reaching max $299 this year and that will make the sales go up a lot but not the PS2 level at $199.
