I think Sony needs a new shooter franchise. The ones they have after very run-of-the-mill and uninspired. I did however enjoy Killzone Shadowfall.

I hope they make the remaster , come on SONY.

Not unless there's going to be a sequel.

I also would welcome this as a Remaster as really enjoyed the alternative history of the games, it was one of the first shooter games I ever played and as such it is held in high regards by myself. Resistance 2 was so much fun!!

Never finished the 3rd one as I think they lost some of the magic and atmosphere towards the end...

The biggest problem that resistance has over Killzone or any other fps franchise is that it had an identity crisis and in the end, this led to fans of the franchises being divided.

Resistance 1 was had a more serious look and feel ,great online considering it was the first game and the weapon wheel people love from R&C series.

Resistance 2 had a different art style, being more cartoony looking, but it had amazing set pieces, one of the best online co-op modes on fps on the ps3, but it got rid of the weapon wheel and not everyone enjoyed the new art direction.

Resistance 3 went for dark and gritty, had no set pieces, no online co-op, no big bosses like the second and felt very dark and grounded. We also lost the hero, the main character from the first 2 games.

Killzone, whatever you may day about it had remained consistent in its gameplay and art direction and is therefore recognisable by people who follow the franchise, whilst with every new resistance game, you just don't know what you are getting.

Myself for example, I thought the first was okay. Nothing great compared to Halo or Gears, the 2 games it was supposed to go up against.

The 2nd I enjoyed the most due to its big boss fights, set pieces, the online co-op and the big graphical leap over the first one.

The third was too dark and gritty, was lacking in content compared to the second, had no set pieces and fun boss fights and felt like the weakest of the 3.

If they did a remaster, I would only be interested in the 1st and 2nd, but not enough to spend £45 on a trilogy.

Killzone on the other hand, I would buy the trilogy for £45 without a second thought.

Nope, I don't think so. Insomniac probably won't dabble as much into the shooter genre again.

I really liked this series. It was probably the most underrated new franchise of last-gen, but that's all due to Sony. They had abysmal marketing for Resistance 3 and released it too close to holiday blockbusters like Uncharted 3 and Gears of War 3, and the next installment was handed to a third rate developer who hammered the franchise to the ground.

That said I would rather have a new Resistance game than a collection.

I want more resistance games only if they have a lead character that stays around, killzone on the other hand needs to be shelved for awhile or needs a reboot, after the hideous shadowfall. That game was so damn bad, from online to the single player campaign which sucked so bad. Shadowfall u can tell with the water and buildings in the distance that the game started out as a ps3 game and some where i think around 50% of the game done was moved over to the ps4 instead. I hope sony gives the resistance series another shot, because they certainly did not give it the chance it deserved to get on the ps3.

I liked Resistance better than Killzone, mainly because Resistance has sci-fi weaponry. Killzone, for a series created to be a Halo Killer, does not.
