Forums - Sony Discussion - Another remaster?

first of all, i know i am going to get a ton of flack for this and am expecting to get banned (i really dont want to get banned but i feel like this has to be re-brought up)

ok, so i know this thread is a tad late, but i want to address this uncharted remaster. is this really what sony is pushing to try to get people to buy a ps4 this year? i find it to be extremely disappointing that they are remastering GOW3 and this uncharted series instead of making new compelling experiences. i know there are tons of apologists out there for remasters so i have to ask, how long are you willing to accept this kind of stuff? how many times does this have to happen before you say ENOUGH with the remasters? i seriously dont get it. there is a disconnect between me and some of you who think this kind of stuff is ok.

hopefully sony has something fresh to show this e3. seriously. not that it will affect the sales of the ps4, but im talking for you die hard fans out there. dont you want ps4 to have its own identity? because so far it has hardly differentiated itself from the ps3 at all. its really sad to see honestly. i would like to own a ps4, but if this is what sony is offering its second year in, i dont see any reason to invest.

so what do you guys think of another remaster? and how many more would sony and or third parties have to do before you say that it's enough?

I'm happy about this one. This one makes sense with a new Uncharted releasing and Uncharted 1 not being as popular as the other 2. I also haven't played much of or completed Uncharted 1 and 3 so yay for me.

4 ≈ One

I agree. It makes it hard to want to get a Sony PS4 system. It is packed with a large number of remasters, or spiritual successors of niche games. The only game I was really interested in was LBP3 and that is on PS3 so that defeats the purpose. It really makes it hard to want to get a PS4 when almost all of its offerings will end up on PC with better settings.

I actually agree that an uncharted series remaster would be passable, but in the midst of everything else that is happening, i feel like they just should have stayed away from this. its just too much. at least pass on the god of war remaster and make this instead.

I think you might have gotten a bit mixed up here :/

I hope we get more remasters.

Not sure why we needed another thread on this topic, couldn't you just add your comment/thoughts to the original thread? Hope this one gets locked.

I bet you will make a thread like this if Nintendo makes another remaster.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Sony is just doing what makes them money. If people want to buy something, good business dictates you provide it. I don't like remasters myself. I've played all these old games and/or own them. But we are in the minority and there's nothing we can do.
