Slade, save me! I'm trying everything in my power to support Xbox -- I've been buying multiplats on Xbox (best controller, duh), I've been telling anyone who will listen how great Gears 4 is, I'm racking up achievements like it's going out of style -- but it keeps boning me!

Scalebound hurts man. I was really excited for it. I need to see some life, some urgency from Microsoft Game Studios. What is happening? Studio closures, delays, cancellations. It's bringing me down :(

The industry is better with competition. It's better when Xbox is keeping PlayStation honest, and vice versa. I dunno, this just feels like the beginning of the end.

Just buy a Switch and knuckle down until E3, it's what I'm going to do

If I'm honest I agreed with Fable Legends cancellation + I understand why Lionhead was closed, I can also understand why they have cancelled Scalebound but it still hurts.

I don't agree with Stormlands by Obsidian being cancelled or them shutting down Press Play (Luckily they kind of made up for that in my mind by giving them all their Ips back when they made a new studio)

It's frustrating. I loved the original Xbox. I loved 360. I feel burnt by One. It took three years for something to come along that blew me away -- Gears of War 4 -- and I think that had a lot more to do with Rod Fergusson than Microsoft.

Fable is gone. Halo is not what it used to be. Rare is treading water. Scalebound is cancelled. Microsoft is sitting on a mountain of unused IPs. Backward compatibility and 6th gen remasters (while great) aren't doing the trick.

This is the problem. We know Microsoft is rolling in it. They're fantastically rich. They could easily recruit more talent, secure more exclusives, open new internal studios. But they're downsizing. It sends a signal to us that the company doesn't consider video games a priority. Even Scorpio, for all its raw power, isn't going to draw in new blood. It's going to appeal to a very narrow subset of fans.

Blood Drive - hands down most played map in Gears 2

If they remake Jacinto I will be happy, easily one of my favourite Gears Maps.

I want them to remake Avalanche.

Proud to be a Californian.

Thanks...thats some serious bull shit. If they do "delay" Scorpio after alot of the execs hyping it so much for this year. If all this is true i could see Phil spencer walking away from Xbox and that would be the beginning of the end.

So was that other guy trying to say that there won't be any new games at e3?

Soo currently there isn't any games announced for 2018 (Xbox exclusives) which means one of two things Imo. Either Phil was listening to the feedback that games get announced too early and we get some 2018 games announced at e3 or no 2018 games get announced and they're just going to ride the 3rd party wave until the Xbox becomes obsolete.

Let's hope its the former.

We need some good Xbox news soon.

Hope the new BC games will join the Vault soon.
Dead Space 2 and 3 are the ones I would love to see there soon.

Then maybe after all these years of rumours MS Really are done with Xbox..

The original Xbox was the first MS product I bought ...since then . I've had every Xbox, both kinects, bought 3/4 windows phones , a surface tablet , a Ms band , 3 laptops (with windows on) and was going to buy the Scorpio day one.ive also got 14 years tenure on Xbox live , I've even been a subscriber of groove music for the past 18 months.

Tens of thousands of pounds spent on Ms hardware ,software, games and subscriptions. All that happened because of Xbox. If they can't see Xbox is more than just about gaming , then fuck 'em.its the biggest brand they have that isn't work related .

If they pull the plug /let Xbox die . Then i wouldn't be interested in any of their products anymore.

But maybe selling hardware isn't their main focus anymore...

I don't know im so confused right now. Lol. I've stuck with these pricks through all their shitty decisons...but mainly because of Xbox I guess.

Venting/Over

MS knows Xbox and gaming in general is important to them. Scalebound has been in production for 4+ years.
If they had leaked a megaton game yesterday, everyone would've been talking on how Xbox division is on a roll since X1 Slim came out.

Yeah true goatseye ! Like ryu said let's just wait til E3. Hopefully they can pull some decent surprises . Let's be honest people on the internet are always quick to jump on MS no matter what

An awesome Scorpio reveal would be a good start as well .

At this point, their only hope will be to commission a game from Bethesda themselves...
