It seems not all Gamestops are created equal -_-

Sorry to hear that! My download continues

I like these new Gears characters but Marcus Fenix really steals the spotlight. And he makes the whole cast of The Expendables look like a bunch of sissypussies 😎 I'm going to throw my protein powders down the toilet and start eating tons of tomatoes.

really disappointed by all those low Mafia 3 scores.
Damn it looked so good. Not only in the trailers but also when AngryJoe played some of it. Although he did a 10 hours marathon a few days later and his opinion changed quite a bit.

I could be tempted to grab Unravel whilst it's on sale looks good and heard some good stuff about it :)

Just got a little question on monitor/TV's :)

Since the start of Xbox 360 era I've always used monitors to game on, A Samsung one to start with followed by a BenQ RL2455HM which is still the current screen that I game on and I will be getting a new screen to game on very soon and I'm playing with the idea of getting a 43 inch TV and that's very likely to be the Sony X800D (UK version=XD80) that will take advantage of 4K HDR on Xbox One S and a PS4 Pro /Scorpio if I eventually grab either of them.

I have no doubt that the X800D with 4K and HDR will make gaming look absolutely amazing and probably a massive jump from my current 24 inch monitor but what worries me a little is going from a monitor with virtually zero input lag to 33ms input lag of a TV.

I still have visions of my friends TV back in 2007 playing the first Gears of War and how impossible it was to play online due to the input lag but I know TV's have moved forward since then but it still make me reluctant to go for a TV over a monitor.

Anyone else made a similar jump between displays and have anything for me on the subject?

TLDR: Is going from 8ms (I think) input lag monitor to something like a 33ms input lag 4K HDR TV going to be noticeable and affect competitive gaming?

Xbox One slashed to $220 in Asia... Won't sell unless FFXV runs out of copies and Kamiya announces a Scalebound beta...

With Xbox One selling only a few units per week I wonder what a price reduction is supposed to do in Japan? Thousands of stores in Japan selling games/consoles and only a few XBO sales, I have the feeling that you don't even find an XBO in most stores. I mean, if a store can sell one XBO per year it doesn't really make sense to have that in store...

The only chance MS has in Japan is to have a good start the first year or they can reduce the price to 50 bucks and won't sell much.

I play on a low lag monitor currently and have played on HD TV's in the past. I really don't notice much of a difference between the two honestly. 33ms might sound ike alot, but really it's not that much, it's 1/30th of a second, considerably less than a blink of an eye (100-150ms). I doubt you will notice much of a difference at all, and even if you do notice it you will get used to it pretty quickly. The difference HDR makes is much more noticeable, and HDR isn't available on 4K computer monitors yet afaik. I will more than likely be replacing my computer monitor with a 4K HDR tv before long.

That's what I was thinking really it's just that bad experience of my friends TV all them years ago just made me a little cautious :) I will probably be going with the XD80 later this month.

It's a nice game, worth buying imo.

OT: Time for a new poll, I have a few ideas but before I use them does anybody else have any ideas for a poll?

Its in the ea access vault too

Cuphead being Lifetime Exclusive, Play Anywhere and coming to Steam, assuming Microsoft have control over what Platforms it comes to it gives me hope that Recore will eventually go to Steam and honestly it should though Steam release could have just been in the deal from the start.

All third party console exclusives should get the "permission" to also release on Steam day one. Wouldn't really hurt XBO much but sales could be much better for these games then.

Sure, the Windows 10 store wouldn't have anything Steam doesn't  but well, MS will never change that people prefer Steam especially if they don't change some things people really hate.
