The characters are almost all shit, the story is boring, the pacing is awful, the level design is....well practically nonexistant, the combat required so little attention you could go through the whole first disc just pressing A, the game doesn't open up character development the way you want until it's too late (and discourages it even then). I mean I could go on......

 

I bought it on sale for 7 bucks and still felt like it wasn't worth my money

FFXIII and FFXIII-2 were both excellent. Only Lightning Returns was a bit on the meh side.

Pretty much, it's not the worst game ever but I wouldn't call it a "good" game either. Way too many flaws for that.

Well it's simply not very good if analyzed objectively. I mean it's cool if you enjoy it. I enjoy certain games (and other things lol) that are objectively not very good too from time to time. Doesn't change the facts though
