Better than expected Forza 7 numbers. With digital sales, the total should be 400-500K, if not more.

Even if we count the physical copies only, thia could be the best year for Forza franchise ever in the UK.

Open Beta!!!

Gonna try it out after work

Proud to be a Californian.

So guys where speculating about Microsoft’s e3 on ERA and zhuge said this

Yeh, as has already been hinted. Outside of a couple of other new titles yet to be announced, Microsoft is still really focused on its core IP and expanding them into different genres. That's why there is stuff like Halo Wars, Forza Horizon, Minecraft Story Mode etc...

So you can expect that sort of trend to continue when it comes to Microsoft's core IP. But as i said a while back, the larger and bigger projects are still years out and are being designed for the 'next generation' (Whatever that means for Microsoft).”.

So this to me means perfect dark and fable are “next gen” for sure. For me that also confirms both the splash damage gears spinoff and the Hali spinoff that I speculate is a 3rd person ODST battlefield or battlegrounds. I also
Think there’s a chance electric squares game is a Minecraft spinoff.

I think that if what zhuge says is than maybe next gen is closer than I thought. I was thinking next console would release holiday 2020, but I am now leaning towards early 2020 and I now see holiday 2019 a possibility where in the past I never considered it. Next gen would start off with a bang... halo 6, gears 5, perfect dark, fable, and forza horizon 5 all within the consoles first 18 months.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

Xbox Live game mods could be coming to Xbox One and Windows 10

Official modding support could on its way Xbox Live, according to a recent job listing from Microsoft.

Microsoft could be looking to offer official game modding support through Xbox Live – at least going by a recent listing posted to its careers page. As reported Wccftech, Microsoft is in search of a "Senior Program Manager" under its Windows and Devices Group, with a focus on leading official mod integration through its gaming network.

Under the role, applicants would be expected to "drive support on Xbox Live for game mods," collaborating with big studios and delivering tools for developers to add modding to their games. With this, Microsoft hopes to foster communities of creators, while enforcing policies to prevent distributing offensive content. Here's a snippet of the listing, which details its plans for mods on Xbox Live.

Team Xbox is looking for you to drive support on Xbox Live for game mods. You will have a unique opportunity to shape and bring to market a new set of services, tools and experiences allowing game developers to easily integrate mods into their games, communities of passionate fans to create and share awesome and engaging content for the games they love, while keeping everyone on the network safe from abusive content.

You will work both within Xbox and across organizations, collaborating with UX design teams, experience teams, and service engineering teams from Xbox, first party studios, Universal Store, CELA, Policy Enforcement, and more. You will be required to provide strong leadership, contribute to the overall vision, set clear requirements, scope each phase of market release, and drive for success for our creators and enjoyment by our consumers.

Microsoft is yet to announce plans for an Xbox Live modding solution, yet this job listing outlines exactly that. Although the post doesn't discuss specific platforms, this would be a natural expansion of its Universal Windows Platform (UWP), which hasn't been short of criticism in the past. While the closed nature of UWP is one of its main characteristics, technical issues and limitations have driven away the wider PC gaming community.

Alternatively, work could be underway to expand modding support on the Xbox One – an area of growing interest for some developers. Titles such as Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition and Farming Simulator 17 all offer their own modding solutions on Xbox One, though such programs are handled almost exclusively by the developers themselves.

I still think that mod support will be limited and curated by Microsoft. Just like in Fallout 4 on Xbox. They will probably make a specific store section for mods in the future and provide tools for developers to implement mods by using Xbox SDK which is great.

It is pretty much to be expected. There is no chance that such big games like Perfect Dark and Fable will launch this year if they only went into development stage last year. Late 2019 is the earliest when they can release.

Fable actually still wasn't in development stage last year Pre-Production still, I assume they could start development first half 2018 but it's going to have to be an extreme push for them to get it out in 2021.

It's awkward to guess Halo/Gears placement, I think we'll get a much clearer picture depending on what one is announced for 2019, If any, I would be pleasently surprised if Microsoft allowed both of their major titles to go this long without a mainline entry.

5 years for Halo or 4 years for Gears, when neither game really needs that long, they'll definitely have to release some major spinoffs in between for Microsoft to be satisfied with their output considering the size of them studios....

Ohh ya spinoffs are coming. We know about splash damage n gears we just don’t know exactly what it is. Just look at what kind of games splash damage makes and it’s most likely a shooter. They haven’t made a x-com like game or rts to my knowledge. With halo I highly doubt a rpg at this time. Sure I could see them getting obsidian to do that(which would be awesome) but there spinoff is much more hush hush than gears and thus it is likely an in-house game. Almost certainly a shooter as well.

Excellent news about Crash.
It was obvious from the start but it took longer than I expected for it to be announced.

Also Undertale coming to Switch is another good sign for it to be on Xbox One in the near future.

Guess who's found little use for it besides a modded Skyrim machine?
