To cut down the cost of the third Forza franchise, Microsoft should go with something thing like a mash up between PGR and Burnout Takedown. Utilize the same licences, engine, mechanics and soundtrack of Motorsport & Horizon. In that way, the three franchises can grow together as well, like what happen now with the current two.

Please not another racer with the word Forza in it. Or, are they trying to make it like Mario by having Marios name in a ton of shit? Tennis Kart etc.....

Sorry but the windows store is a pile of crap, and pc users haven't accepted it. And they won't unless ms fixes it. And even then they don't want to leave their ecosystem. It will never be 1/10th the size of steam. It's probably 1/1000th the size now at best. Anything ms sends their will die. Halo or age of empire could get a million sells maybe.

I just want their games to be successful. A time and time launch for Xbox/windows/steam for quantum break, sunset overdrive  would have saved those games. Ms got really tight with money because a lot of their games where underperforming. That wouldn't have happened with steam releases. I can only imagine how big halo 5 would have been on steam. The competitive nature of that game would have been perfect for it.

Spend the next 2 years fixing it. In the meantime give incentives to play on windows instead of steam. After it's running good maybe stop putting new releases on steam if windows store adoption is high.

No. PC gamers are dreaming about MS putting their games on Steam. Once they do that they won't have the option to go back without pissing off a lot of PC gamers. About games being successful. Putting sunset overdrive on Steam would have helped the game probably but that's not the case for Quantum Break. The problem with this game wasn't with its method of distribution. But with the marketing for it. Also, as I've said Microsoft should be thinking about fixing the problem with Xbox not getting some games first and then about some success even if they will end up losing some money right now.

NO it would have helped quantum break. Qb has done 570k according to steamspy, but it released there 6 months after the other versions launched. It would most likely be at about a million if it would have Shipped there on launch day. Recore is another example of a failed game that might have succeeded with steam.

and as far as the bolded goes that's just wrong from a business perspective. Corporate can't handle more of that. That's why the checkbook got tight and ms almost sold off Xbox. The rumors where everywhere there was obviously some truth to them.

How long has ms been messing around with their pc space? As long as I can remember it's either been crap or nonexistent. If they don't want to release on steam then either get it working good or just stop putting games on pc. But I don't get the logic of putting ur games on pc to store that realistically only had 1-3 million users but not putting it on the store that has 100 million or more.

state of day did 1.3 million on steam

ori did more than 2 million.

without those sales for the sequels they might not break even, and as a result ms might dile back on the exclusives again.

Halo MCC will sell 5+ million copies(including digital)

halo 5 will sell 10 million copies(including digital)

x1 will pass ps4 in USA, and UK.

I just noticed when browsing through available games on games pass that 2k16 wasn’t on it. I thought they would announce when games would be taken off? Or have I just missed these announcements?

If you click on the game pass button on the dashboard the first row of games you see on the right is a "Games leaving 31/1" button and it has Metal Gear Solid V and WWE 2K16 in it. it does look like you can still download it and play it until 1st February.

In Nintendo's case, adding Mario name equal profit.

In Microsoft's case, I don't know how the contracts work, but I guess they can use the licences for cars, tracks, music and other things for any game in the Forza franchise. Like signing a deal with BMW to use their cars on Forza games for the next ten years. Sharing the names and what comes with it, engine, assets, sounds and many other things will cut the cost of a single game a lot.

Microsoft can sell only 500K copies of each game and still be profitable.

Pretty sure it doesn't have an official date... they better give us an update soon.

All we know is the delay was to Spring 2018, I presume the date on Amazon is just a temporary end of Q1 date they added in there for now.

Sooo, just heard that Minecraft has 74 million monthly active users, that's a lot of people. Looks like Minecraft is as big as ever and is probably the best investment Microsoft has done in recent years.

Not really, but Nadella at the time was axing divisions left and right. Given Xbox was going to lag in second place again, they thought it would be next.
