There are other threads which are 1 Mio. in one month. I'm also sure about that. I would go so far and say that it is possible to get near 2 Mio. within 1 month..

Nintendo UK does a marketing campaign like for Mario Kart 8 as they see and believe and Splatoons potential too.

I'm confident that we'll get the success numbers from Nintendo very soon

Japan is going crazy right now, about 9/10 days before games release shipments of the game already surpassed 120k (japan) and are very likely to shoot up.

Dont be surprised if japan Sells almost half of that in week 1 :)

Counting digital, I believe yes. There's a real marketing campaign taking place here. It kind of gives me chills how much faith Nintendo is putting into this. It's like it HAS to be incredible...
