To be 300k, it would need to sell no more thab 110k outside Japan..  We already got 20k from the UK alone of Europe.  So you are saying rest of Europe+NA+RoW will be 90k?  While simultaneously being top 5 on amazon and high ranking at Best Buy and Walmart for the entire first week in the US?  

Splatoon strikes me as a game which will have more appeal in Japan than in the West; it meshes so well with the anime/aidoru culture. Heck, Inkopolis is basically Shibuya. 

To adjust for my innate skepticism, make it 350k then.

Ehh, maybe, but they didn't do that for MK8.

I think the earliest they can hit 1m is by the end of June. But it's hard to predict without seeing actual numbers from NA and EU, or second week numbers from Japan.

Try 500k is more realistic

187k minimum Japan (Digital is over 43k)

43k France/UK (24k+19k)   No digital #s

 

Thats right there 230k without NoA and Germany/Rest of Europe and RoW :)

Im not talking Shipped. Official numbers alreadyput it at 230k. No matter what, 300k is pessimistic compared to this, NoA could sell 100k including digital, this is by no means less than 350k sold week 1.

I was referring to 300-350k on VGChartz.
