I've watched a few video reviews for the Witcher 3, all were reviewed on PS4 but I didn't think about it until now.

The Witcher 3 is launching on PS4, PC and Xb1 in a few days but the developer only sent the PS4 game to reviewers and that is odd.

Publishers normally send a copy for every platform so the reviewers can compare them and Microsoft is spending millions to promote the game but none the reviews are for their platforms.

Giuseppe Nelva from DualShockers.com has confirmed that the publisher only sent the PS4 version.

It may be a studio habit, there were many developers who only sent one version out to critics last generation.

But given the problems they were having with parity they may have sent out PS4 copies to hide a small difference in performance.

I was also under the impression that the Witcher 3 had some sort of collaboration with the Xbox One so I find it weird that they did not send out any copies of the Xbox One version.

Must be annoying for some potential Xbox One customers who may worry about performance issues.

the PC version seems heavyly downgraded and the xbox one version will look or run worse than the ps4 version.

Which is strange considering all the exclusive marketing MS had.

How is that odd? Why would they want to give out the inferior version? One might think they want reviewers to have the best first impression possible. The PS4 reviews will sell the game on X1 regardless.

I noticed last generation a lot of multiplat games were heavily reviewed on the X360 with less reviews on the PS3.

And even though the PS3 sometimes were the allegedly "lesser" version of the two, it ended up having the higher score on metacritic, probably due less exposure to click-bait reviews.
