I honestly didn't think Awakening was a hard game on Perma-death mode and it was my first one.

Perma-death isn't the problem, really. What truly matters is the difficulty you're playing on. Perma-death is just another thing to deal with.

You have to play differently on Perma-death mode. On casual mode you can play carelessly and that would make the game boring to me.

But yeah, in retrospect I should have maybe picked harddmode. It's a good game, I just think it's a bit overrated. Bad graphics and lackluster story are my main gripes.

The black version of Fire Emblem if looks the most interesting. Too bad the graphics are still as horrible as ever.

Woot! Making the game better and better!

I like the change of weapon breaking...I never really found that aspect to be interesting or particularly challenging, so as long as they balance the game around this change it should make the game better overall (imo)

Maybe this means weapons will be harder to come by instead. Either way I don't care much for either of these changes, so that's good!

Youtube playthroughs were invented for the likes of you, you pesky casual.

but now the games accommodate me!

I am worried about weapon durability being removed. Granted once you past a certain point mid way through the game in most FE games outside of the harder difficulties, you should have enough funds that you always have a good solid weapon and a bad up for all of your units. But the idea of not having it all makes things feel strange and unnecessary.

Archer and mage characters will benefit with long range magics and weapons but the lack of potentially running out of uses for a particular weapon does feel like they are making the game easier, especially since they were supposedly selling the Nohr/Black kingdom route as having limited resources be one of its selling points.
