Forums - Nintendo - Fire Emblem If Removes Weapon Durability; Characters Revive Next Turn in "Phoenix Down" Mode

Hang on, why is it called 'Phoenix Down' mode. I thought that term was used/originated from Final Fantasy games.

Is this some sort of hint?

Uh, only in White Version, right IS? ...Right?

Like another user said, isn't Phoenix Down a FF thing? Or is that just a term FF used that already existed?

Phoenix down = Phoenix tail

A phoenix is a mythical creature that can ressurect after it dies.

I think its a good thing cause if catering to the casuals means that one mode has to be newbie friendly and it will keep the franchise alive, so be it (Just so as long as they keep the true FE mode alive)

PC Specs: CPU: 7800X3D || GPU: Strix 4090 || RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 || Main SSD: WD 2TB SN850

I honestly didn't think Awakening was a hard game on Perma-death mode and it was my first one.

Fire Emblem is dead now. I hope you're happy, Intelligent Systems.

Pixel Art can be fun.

i hope theres a intermediate level between casual and classic, where weapons drop durability and units returns after the end of battles(not turns, like the new FE casual more)

I know that. I'm just wondering if FF used the item first. I'll do a quick check...

So I can't find anything to suggest FF didn't use the term first. So more than likely they did but it's such a generic term it doesn't matter to them if someone else uses it.
