This is getting serious now on Amazon.co.uk. Copying from other reviewers...

This is the email is sent to the official forum for which i am waiting for a reply
"I have never been so unhappy with a game i have purchased. I love the game play the problem is the game does not work on xbox one. i have been returned to the xbox home so many times mid race i am now ready to contact trading standards to see if i can obtain a full refund as faulty goods.
£42.00 is no small amount of money. I must say i am totally disgusted that you have released a title simply doesnt work properly. I simply cannot stomach playing it anymore and will definitely be posting a negative review to amazon.
I realize you will probably release a patch at some point eventually, but when i purchase a game i like to play it without a 2 or 3 week wait. I also dont agree with the "perform a hard reset on your xbox one" mentality to get the the update to work. No offence but if you cant write a working update what chance do we stand with this game ever working properly!."

Well first off, save yourself £40 and don't buy it! I've played racing games for years from GT, various F1 games and Forza Motorsport, and this is the single worst racing game I've ever played. I was looking forward to this immensely because it looked different and something new introducing different motorsports like go-karting. However, I was completely tricked by the pre-release footage and hype, and this is why:
The gameplay and controls themselves are poor to say the least. Steering and braking are ridiculous. I spent a fair bit of time trying to get used to it in the go-karting but it's near unplayable. I steer through a right hand corner, go to turn left for the next one and the steering doesn't move, I keep going right and hit a wall! Even touching a small bit of grass or kerb off the track send you into a spin, which is fine if you like driving on what seems like an ice skating rink! It just doesn't feel very realistic in my opinion, certainly when you compare it to something like Forza 5, which is really, Project Cars' main rival on Xbox One.
The graphics are a slight let down as well, having seen the pre-release trailers. These made the game look utterly stunning and incredibly realistic, but the in game footage is nothing like it. While the graphics are very good, they just don't have that same impact as the trailer footage or any other footage I've seen.
It's a real shame I'm slating this game because I was so looking forward to it after all the hype, but it seems it's been over promoted and not lived up to expectations. Mine's already on the return list, I'd be better spending my money on something else!

I have been playing with the day one update installed and it does look very pretty, apart from the occasional tearing and stuttering. The wealth of options and setup parameters not normally seen on the console is a huge boon to this game and something that was lacking in Forza 5. However, this short paragraph sums up all the pros, there is nothing else I can say that is good about this game. Unfortunately there is quite a lot to be said about the cons.
When starting a race I have found the car sometimes rolls forward at the start of a race before you get control. This causes a false start and disqualification and although you can restart you will still be disqualified. If you are in carer mode the game will save and you will just have to accept it and continue the season at a disadvantage. Also when starting a race, The audio will cut out and the race needs to be restarted to fix this, again risking an unavoidable false start.
If your using a wheel the force feed is almost nonexistent. It is so weak in fact, that it took me a while to notice that it does exist at all. Not only will this spoil your fun, it will also make the game quite hard as you will not be able to tell when your pushing too hard until it is too late. If your using a gear shifter it is sequential mode only, even with H pattern setup.
This is a simulation racer so you can expect it to be challenging but the default controller setup is ludicrously bad. You would be insane to use this setup, which means you will need to check out the controller setup options. If your not a racing driver or racing engineer in real life then the controller settings can be a bit overwhelming, however, you will need to venture into this tangle of thorns if you wish to make this game more enjoyable and rewarding. Descriptions of each setting are rather vague and use a lot of technical language. This means a whole lot of trial and error until it feels better. Expect to spend many an hour racing, tweaking and testing before you get a setup you're comfortable with. I love having these settings available, I just think the starting point could have been so much better.
In summary, there is potential for a great game here if there are a few major Updates. Until those updates arrive I recommend getting get a nice poster of a supercar. It will look just as good and will never over promise leaving you disappointed and dejected
In a word awful, and one of the biggest gaming disappointments of all time, avoid at all costs and save yourself forty pounds. Should never have been released as it plays like a game in early development. Loved racing games for years and the more realistic the more I like them. However the handling and braking models are shocking, and too me on the xbox controller at times its almost unplayable. I should also mention that the visuals in general do not reflect the pre release footage and stills, yes the car models are lovely, but the scenery at times looks pretty poor. The random crashes back to the main menu are another story entirely.
I have requested a refund from Amazon as in my opinion Namco should never have released it in this condition.
I should point out that Eurogamer's review should be cynically called into question, as during one of the cars many and random pitches into an unrecoverable slide I came face to face with an armco railing sporting Eurogamers logo - clearly no conflict of interest there

As other reviews have stated this game looks amazing but is almost unplayable! How this got released is beyond me! I guess after delaying it time and time again they decided that they may as well release it as it's so far from playable that it'll not be finished until sometime next century.
I've been following the project online for what seems years and I can't be more disappointed in the final release. I'm not sure if the car sounds are glitching or they've just been recorded so bad in the first place. I wouldn't expect any amount of patching is going to make this game slightly enjoyable.
I've played driving simulators for over 20 years, from Hard Driving all them years ago, Forza (every release), Richard Burns Rally, RFactor, Grid, even Euro Truck Simulator and this is by far the worst driving game I've had the misfortune of playing. Namco should be ashamed of themselves!

This is my first ever review. I feel its needed so other people do not make the mistake of buying a racing game that you can't steer properly on. I had been looking forward to this game for a long time... after 2 hours of attempting to play the first race and various setting changes i have given up. The game has a massive steering/handeling issue and in all modes i have tried...no luck! I thought it may have been bad handling with the karts on the first race in career mode but after attempting different cars on different tracks, still no luck. I'am really dissapointed and cannot see how they have been able to release the game as i feel because of this issue it is impossible to play. Total waste of money. Dont bother

I've never written a review for any product I have ever bought, but I felt I had to for this game.
This game is horrendous, please do not by it.
The handling of the cars is shocking. At one point I was steering left, and the cart turned 180 degrees right.
I only play racing games, and have done for many years, and this is by far the worst game I've ever played. How the developers can release it is beyond me.
Save your money and wait for Forza 6
and loads more.................
