except for Harely Quinn... I have no idea who they supposed to be... Should we care?

There are plenty of people who know who everyone is

When I read Slipknot I thought of the band before I thought of any minor DC villian ;P

If it wasn't for the Arkham games of the 7th gen, I wouldn't have even heard of Killer Croc and Deadshot, let alone the rest. I only knew of Harley from the Batman cartoons had I not played them.

DC has a real problem of not fleshing out their characters that aren't main staples to people that don't read their comics.

That said, Deadshot is my favourite non-Joker Batman villian, and look forward to all the trick shots he will pull off!

This whole article reads like a fanboy rant.

The DC movies do have humour in them, it is, however, not as prominent as the humour that you see in Marvel.
Is this a bad thing? No.
It is a good thing that they are different, otherwise you would be watching the same thing, but with different characters.

The spelling errors alone were laughable "Maybe they’re buckling under the pressure. Or maybe they just don't feel they can due the characters justice. "

The characters in both the DC and Marvel universe are complex. They do not even provide examples of why the characters are not complex. It is simply a rant.
Superman is a complex character as he is an alien (SPOILER) and has to blend in with the rest of his humanity. He is uncertain about revealing himself to the world, as was his dad, because they believe that if people knew he was an alien they would reject him. That was a theme set up in the Man of Steel and the Batman vs. Superman trailer continues that theme.
We cannot really specify what Batman's character is like because we see him for like 15 seconds. Christopher Nolan showed Batman's strengths and flaws in his dark and gritty adaption, I am sure the same case will follow here. If it does not, yes that will be disappointing, but it has not happened yet. This article is based on assumptions. It also manages to fail to mention that Nolan's trilogy fleshed out Batman's character and even Batman himself used humour. "I'm not wearing hockey pads" is an example. It does not sound as funny out of context, but in the movie it was funny.

Also, we have only seen the one movie in the DC Universe. You simply cannot write off the entire franchise because the latest trailer is too dark. This is such a nitpicky article that says DC should be more like Marvel. I like both Marvel and DC. Neither one of them needs to copy the other. If I want to watch something more light hearted I will watch Marvel, whereas if I am in the mood for something darker I will watch DC.
How is it the people cannot comprehend that having two different comic book universes with a different theme works? Why do people want them to be a copy and paste of each other?

but DC needs to copy Marvel. If they want a singlle coherent universe, they do need to copy Marvel as much as they can

couldn't disagree more.  batman triology are the only superhero movies that are anything other than completely forgetable in the last decade.  avengers was terribly shallow.
