Is that the right answer?

My favorite Zelda games are top down, so top down.

I like both.

I like both but I prefer the 3D ones because in them I feel more immersed in the atmosphere and have better puzzles
My fave 2D is Link's Awakening and my fave 3D is Ocarina of Time

I think OOT is the best Zelda ever... but I can't say that I've replayed it as much as the first game so, top down wins due to replayability.

I generally prefer the 3D games.

However my #2 favorite Zelda game is still a 2D game; Link's Awakening. I started playing Zelda in 94-ish when A Link to the Past was the newest game (technically not, but I never knew of the existence of LA until LA DX), and I was totally in awe, though I could have already played the original once by then, not sure anymore. ALttP made me a fan and 'aware', anyway. It has since been overtaken though by all but one of the 3D games for me. Besides those two I'd say all other 2D games including the original, are definitely inferior to all the 3D games.

Which means prefering 3D doesn't necessarily mean you're a "Young Turk"...

3D. All of them except for Majora's are in my Top 5 of the series.

ALBW got the top down 2D style right. Added in some 3D wrinkles and just like that it became something even more. More games like that and the genre would be just fine.
