Yeah I could definitely see combat being a reason people preferring 3D to the top-down ones. Top down is mainly just spamming A till you win XD

My favourite top-down Zelda is Link to the Past. Although I haven't played A Link Between Worlds yet, since I have yet to get myself a 3DS.

My favourite 3D Zelda is Twilight Princess.


I prefer 3D zelda over top-down.

I guess i would like top down more because Alundra is one of favorite games of all time and its pretty much like zelda top down just that youre able to jump too.

I can say that I've had more fun with 3D simply because it's generally a deeper and more complex and thus satisfying experience, but overall I couldn't say it's a preference thing. They're like apples and oranges--almost two different types of game entirely.
