Not you but in the way that some are using the argument of the size of installbase implies that...

First poster on the second page. LOL.
Edit: post 26
I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Oh.lol
Well I dont think it will be by a large margin, but I do think the PS4 will have the best selling version. Im still getting it on the WiiU though

I know that....It's still a poor thing... Attach rate is more important, many here acting like the ps4 version will outsell the wii u version by a huge marging because of the installbase difference but the userbase will only make ps4 to be sligthly ahead the wii u version at best... |
Theres no reason to suspect that. Rayman Legends launched on PS4 when the WIi U's userbase was ahead or equal to the PS4. Again the fact that it was being sold on previous playsation platforms (PS3, PSV) and 360 5months prior to the very sudden release of PS4 version obviously gimped its sales potential.
All relevant data comparisons we have all points towards PS4 version outselling the rest easilyand by a bit. The WIi U version may have a higher attach rate, something quite typical of systems with a smaller userbase and less software support.
Question for those who think that this will sell better on PS4 because of install base; does that mean that a spiritual successor to Crash Bandicoot would have sold better on Wii than on PS3?
(That may be a bad example, since it actually would have had more reason to turn out that way...)

Because it was bundled and a launch game. Japanese gamers had no other option than to get Knack at launch. Calling Knack mediocre is being generous imo.

I did :p
Imagining this was typical retail releases I would suspect a 500k gap.
PS4: 1.3m
Wii U: 800k

Install base is a lot more important than attach rate. I mean, really attach rate means nothing. If the console sells poorly then games are automatically going to have higher attach rates but they will still sell less so there is really nothing good about just having a high attach rate by itself. |
haha...Generalization and bad conclusion,do you remember the polygon's article about mario kart 8 to be the worst selling mario kart because of the lower installbase...
In the last nintendo's financial report we had 4.77m mario kart 8 on a 9.20m installbase, freaking attach rate of 52%,the 52% of wii u owners bought it, if the installbase was higher it could be lower but if the installbase was higher do you know that mario kart 8 wouldn't have sold accordingly? If a console sells poorly, attach rate will be higher is a bad generalization...
