How many COD or BF of even CS servers are there where they are restricted to 1 map only? 5 maps initially does not mean it will not be fun and replayable. Heck people play LoL on the same single map for years. I wish there were more out the box, but they are coming and I am glad Nintendo is trying to get them out quickly.
While I bet Nintendo would typically delay this game to have that extra content, they just cannot afford to have NO games being released in the near future. They probably did not anticipate the reaction and praise this game is getting so they are trying to make it actually be a more full game than they initially planned.
Me being a fanboy I know I am being double standard in the fact that I am giving Nintendo a pass on releasing an essentially incomplete game. Were this Ubisoft or EA I would not even give them a chance either. But it is Nintendo...this is new for them in every aspect so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.

Case closed right there. The game is sure to be fun, it has 5 maps at launch and a complete single-player experience. Just enjoy and then more when more content just keeps bursting out. It will be a competitive game, focus on getting good and if not stop playing so we can enjoy a competitive community. lol |
LoL is free, is Splatoon going to be free?
I see this as the equivalent of Killing Floor 2. The game has very few maps, and the actual class/weapon/mode variety is really low. Still buying because KF is awesome/
This is the same. Direct showed that content will be released periodically over time for free. I suppose if I had one issue, it's the price. KF is only $30, this is $60.

I'm honestly a little conflicted. I play Dota and CS;GO fairly often, and the "sameness" of everything keeps the spirit more competitive than anything else. I also am excited for Killing Floor 2, despite only being early access, with much content to come "later"
At the current price, the game is pretty shallow. But I can't deny that the gameplay looks absolutedly addicting. Tons of variety in combat and strategy.
I guess we'll just have to wait till the demo. Maybe it will be worth it.

The last thing Nintendo needed to do to be a modern company: release an incomplete game. This doesn't foreshadow a good Zelda game, a game that will be full of amiibo locked content, incomplete at launch and cut sidequests sold as DLC later (one week after release). Everything in a beautiful Wii U Zelda Edition (a Wii U in the stock since 2012 with a simply Zelda draw).
I can't believe.

I'm just seeing people ranting all over the place, there's nothing in the OP and I'm too lazy to check the whole thread.
Why are people so mad? can someone summarize it? seems like its a lack of content thing but don't know the specifics
Nintendo and PC gamer

Sounds like Nintendo is releasing the game a couple months before it's ready. They have finally become a modern game publisher.
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
The game isn't finished. Simple. It would be PR nightmare if Nintendo delayed yet another exclusive. So I guess I kinda understand.

I'm surprised by the negativity in this thread, I thought the game looked excellent. I'll definitely pick this up. No one mentioned all the powerups you can fit on your gear slots, thought that was pretty cool. Also the game mode where you stand on the tower and move it across the map looks really fun.
