Shining Force (every single one of them) my fav strategy rpgs ever

A small tear formed when I saw someone add a screenshot of Guardian Heroes... I'd punch a baby for that series to return somehow.

Camelot Software Planning went on to make the Golden Sun series on GBA, which I also loved. It's too bad Sega didn't pull them in to add to their development teams. I think Nintendo was smart pulling them away. It really killed Sega's RPG efforts.

Then Working Designs turned the cold shoulder after a booth mishap and went to Sony. It just made it worse for them. Which was a bad decision for both companies in the end. They were really good for each other. Now they are dead.

Guardian Heroes got an Xbox 360 port. I tried to play it, but the controller doesn't work with it for some reason. I might buy a street fighter pad to play with it eventually. It's kind of like the Saturn's pad (best gamepad ever). Treasure made a sequel called Advance Guardian Heroes for GBA which wasn't that good. Then the same team that made the first Guardian Heroes made Code of Princess for 3DS.

Sega had a lot of good games, but they just got stupid with their decisions towards the end.

it's so sad we go from the fantastic shining force into a mario golf developer. i tried out code of princess but even though the concept is there, the hardware is so underpowered that I couldn't do it. it's a tragedy that with the death of Sega these developers went with the nintendo toys instead of remaining in the console space

i miss Sega of the old days a lot, but the way things are right now I kind of hope they would sell off their old IPs to whoever would honor that legacy.

i'm keeping my hopes in check though

Phantasy Star....Master System

Feel free to add me to your Ps friends list.

Megid2013

Heh. "Sonic 2" was my first instinct when I read the title. Next comes crushing my little cousins on "Virtua Fighter" for the Sega Saturn. Then came the Dreamcast...

With that beauty came too many great memories to recount, and more being made right now (I still play it two/three times a month). "Shenmue" and "Jet Grind Radio" stand out as Sega classics, with "Power Stone" and "Sword of the Berserk" being two of my favorite 3rd-party games.

Early House of the Dead games....

That's about it, really.

I mainly liked the arcade ports like Sega Rally, Virtua Cop, Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Last Bronx, Sega Touring Car Championship and Daytona USA. Sega just did good with arcade games. :)

Other games that I like are Sonic 1, 2, 3, CD, Ad 1, Ad 2 and Gen, Streets of Rage, OutRun, Golden Axe and Sega console exclusives like Gunstar Heroes and Alien Soldier.

Man I miss those Sega glory days.. :(

Phantasy Star 4. I paid out the nose for that game, but it was my favorite on Genesis.
Other games include...
Landstalker. Its a isometric adventure game. I couldn't get enough of it. Loved that game.
Sonic 1-3 and Knuckles, Eternal Champions, Earthworm Jim, Mean Bean Machine, Shinobi, Golden Axe, and Streets of Rage.

On Saturn it was all about Nights into Dreams, Daytona, Virtua Fighter 2, Sonic R, and Panzer Dragoon.

Sega's first party IP between 1989 and 2002>Nintendo's first party IP between 1989 and 2002.

Yup, I said it.

There's nothing wrong with that statement. Sega was so far ahead of everybody it isn't funny. All the games they were greenlighting were colorful and quirky that became classics. They were Risk: the company. I saw a bit of that in Nintendo with the Gamecube, but then they went ultra conservative which now transformed into the Nintendo of 2015. Risk-averse: the company.

Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Sonic Colors, Sonic Generations, Ristar, Vectorman and Skies of Arcadia!

Edit: Jet Set Radio as well.

I honestly don't know 90% of the cast of Sonic and Sega All Stars Racing Transformed. So I'm not impressed by their IPs at all. If their IPs sold they wouldn't be dead now.

From the Sega published games I own, I don't like a single one.

The Conduit: awful

Bayonetta 2: I think this game is boring, but that's just my taste in gaming.

Rome Total War II: horribly glitchy, bugged and poorly optimized. And yes, I blame Sega for rushing this game.

I've played a demo of Sonic Boom, what an awful game as well

Sonic and Knuckles was pretty boss.

Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
