Sonic 2, 3, Knuckles, Streets of Rage 2, Shinobi III, Phantasy Star IV, Panzer Dragoon 1 & 2, OutRun, GP Rider, Virtua Racing, Daytona USA, Daytona USA 2001, Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter 4 Evo, Fighters Megamix.

If Bloodborne counts as a Sony game then add Gunstar Heroes and Dynamite Headdy.

I don't know much about Dynamite Headdy, but Gunstar Heroes is fine. I think most people would associate it with Sega ; )

Where to start? I am sure i will forget a few.

I started gaming with Sega systems and kept to only Sega systems until the PSone.

It all started with a simple color handheld called the game gear. I already coveted the home systems by then and the awesome looking Sonic game on the mega drive, but i started with a modest trial by fire with Sonic 2 on the game gear. I didnt even think it was especially hard at the time, perhaps cause i had no notion. More highlights on the game gear with Sonic Chaos, Shinobi 2, Streets of rage 2 and others i dont recall.

Later, i eventually got a Mega drive and i got the Sonic games of my dreams. Sonic 1,2,3 and eventually knuckles, got to play streets of rage 1,2,3... Sub terrania, revenge of Shinobi and more i dont recall. I eventually got the overpriced mega cd for wich i got the awesome Sonic CD. Road avenger was kind of cool in its own way, for a QTE game. I remember also having Mickey mania.
After that came the saturn and 3D! Virtua fighter 1 and 2, fighting vipers, fighters megamix, Sonic R (loved it as it was the closest to 3D Sonic outside the bit on Sonic Jam wich they definitly should have used to make a full game), the amazing Nights into dreams, wich i made a tradition of playing almost every christmas, my late introduction to the Shining force series with SF3 chapter one, the panzer dragoon titles 1,2 and the outstanding Saga, Cyber speedway, Virtua Racing, Dayona USA and the classic Sega Rally(also third parties with resident evil and tomb raider). All amazing games! I never understood why the Saturn wasnt a smashing sucess at the time. Probably because information wasnt as widespread then.

This is basically when SEGA faultered for me. After a great initial run... they just stoped. Games stopped coming out and the new Resident evil anf tomb raider were on the PS1, aswell as this amazing game called FF7 and this other one called Gran turismo. It was the start of a different story, but it wasnt over for my Sega love yet.

Out came the dreamcast and the Sega goodness. I was actually the first person to get a dreamcast on my country, but the populace alreadydidnt care, Sega dropped the ball with the Saturn and all everyone cared about anymore was the Playstation.
Anyways, it didnt stop me from enjoying that great Sega first party portfolio, wich i might add, i always thought it was the strongest of any first party to this day.
So, the biggest highlight for me as got to be Phantasy star online, a series i came around to very late, but caused a huge impact on my life. It introduced me to online RPG's or MMO's. It was an amazing experience for the time and led me later to other bigger MMO's and to meeting my special someone and moving to a different coutry. But digress... i must metion Grandia 2 even thought it wasnt Sega first party, loved it to bits. Skies of Arcadia, shenmue, Sonic adventure 1 and 2, Sega rally 2, Daytona USA you're doing it wrong by making it analog control only, Its funny, i had so many Dreamcast games and i cant recall many now. The third party support was pretty decent for those couple of years the DC was around. We all knew it was gonna go out in smoke because everyone simply waited for the PS2, but it sure wet out wirh a bang.

Unfortunely, that was just the beggining of the end for Sega and i despise their current day form. But old Sega will always remain in my memory as the best gaming company. If only we could have it back. So many great developers that got lost with the takeover. Its no surprise that in the following generation western games development took over.

That was great, Nem, thanks... : ) It seems you had a lot of great memories with Sega, even with the Saturn! I never got to play it myself, which makes me a bit sad, haha... I think I felt somewhat the same as you. I really enjoyed games on the Genesis/Megadrive, like the Sonic games, Streets of Rage, Vectorman, Puyo Pop, and many others.

I also really enjoyed the Dreamcast, which had so many great games on the system. It makes me so sad the Dreamcast died and Sega had to back out of the console wars... : ( You've listed a lot of games I enjoyed too. I also wanted to mention Grandia 2, although it went to PS2 also. But I'm glad you did. Such a great game. Thanks for the comment. It was a good read, and you listed so many good games on Sega platforms... : )

Phantasy Star 2 - The game I got a Genesis for. Nei...

Phantasy Star 4 - 3 was shit, this made up for it. Love Phantasy Star again.

Shining Force 2 - Probably made SRPGs my favorite genre or maybe it was Warsong on Genesis.

Gunstar Heroes - So much fun. It was the best combination of gunplay, kicking, throwing, HP drops and gun combinations. Made you feel like a badass. Best platformer ever!

Shining Force CD - So much SRPG goodness on one disc!

Sonic CD - The anime intro made Sonic badass. Made you want to be as cool as him.

Panzer Dragoon Saga - WTF kind of shooter combination RPG is this?! It confuses me, but I love it so much! I didn't want it to end. Damn you bitches that let this burn in the fire and now it's lost forever...

Shining Force 3 - Shining Force in 3D. Soooo good. But you teased me Sega. You let me have a taste of this honey and then you left me hanging. I never got to finish the story of these 2 men. Did they end up falling in love and becoming lovers in the end? Was it too much for America to comprehend and that's why you didn't give us the rest?

Phantasy Star Online - The first time I turned this on on Dreamcast and went online, I thought I died and went to Heaven. The whole atmosphere and playing with other people online, seeing them run around, this game became my crack for years. Then people started hacking and then noobs would just come in and steal the loot. Even when you owned the whole stage with your bad ass magic, they run up and take your prize! So, I became a girl and got free shit for doing nothing. I will tease them and maybe some cyber. Yes, good times!

Phantasy Star Online Episode 2 - This was the only thing I played on GameCube. Later on, played it on The OG phat Xbox. Not as fun as the Dreamcast/Cube versions though. Xbots were more into Halo and MechAssault, then to invest in this. OMG I love me some MechAssault. M$ needs to revive that bitch.

Typing of the Dead - Sega always comes up with Frankenstein games and they almost all the time become badass. I thought this game would only be for dorks who had no friends in life and wanted to be cool in videogames too. Boy was I wrong! Not about the dork part, because that is me, but this game became the life of the party. Typing became cool because of this game. Now everyone wants to type because of it! Thank you Sega! We are humbled.

You actually liked 3? That game was hideous.

I forgot about 3.  No I don't like that one either.

Shining Force (every single one of them) my fav strategy rpgs ever

Streets of Rage 2 and 3, just incredible beat'em alls

How is it possible no one mentioned Comix Zone????

Phantasy star 4 (though online was pretty cool too)

A small tear formed when I saw someone add a screenshot of Guardian Heroes... I'd punch a baby for that series to return somehow.

Story of Thor (Legend of Oasis i think in the US), probably most people would say it has nothing on Zelda, I prefer it to Zelda, any Zelda ever made.

Of course Shenmue, one of the most forward thinking games of it's time.

Sega Rally... the amount of money I spent on it in the arcades way back when is embarrassing.

I'll leave out the obvious platformers and more popular games already mentioned several times to bring up Star Wars 32x. It was the single reason why I ever got that peripheral. It was really the first time I could remember feeling 3D flight and combat in a home console. Crazy to think it was possible even before the Saturn came out.

Well my friend, I have great news for you :D

There are translations to episode 2 and 3 of Shining Force 3 in this little website: http://sf3trans.shiningforcecentral.com/

Basically they are fan made, but really really well done. I can vouch for them. And I can assure you that ep 2 and 3 are much better than 1 was... the whole story really comes together.

Hope you enjoy as shining force is my favourite game series in my favourite genre of games, bar none :)

Camelot Software Planning went on to make the Golden Sun series on GBA, which I also loved. It's too bad Sega didn't pull them in to add to their development teams. I think Nintendo was smart pulling them away. It really killed Sega's RPG efforts.

Then Working Designs turned the cold shoulder after a booth mishap and went to Sony. It just made it worse for them. Which was a bad decision for both companies in the end. They were really good for each other. Now they are dead.

Guardian Heroes got an Xbox 360 port. I tried to play it, but the controller doesn't work with it for some reason. I might buy a street fighter pad to play with it eventually. It's kind of like the Saturn's pad (best gamepad ever). Treasure made a sequel called Advance Guardian Heroes for GBA which wasn't that good. Then the same team that made the first Guardian Heroes made Code of Princess for 3DS.

Sega had a lot of good games, but they just got stupid with their decisions towards the end.
