Sonic is better because the skill ceiling is so much higher. It seems pointless to try and master Mario Kart. The greater balance offered by Sonic makes for a much better skill game. Mario Kart is fine as a casual party racer.
Lets also stop acting like 200cc is at all fast compared to other games. The controls were merely designed for the slower speeds. You guys need some F-zero on your lives.

Soncic racing is slower than 200CC.
And that horrible framerate makes things look even slower.

30fps isn't horrible. Unless you agree that 3-4 player MK8 is horrible and if anything, makes games seem faster, but also with much less control ;P but yeah, the PC ver is much better.
200cc isn't all that fast and it's also incredibly difficult to be able to quantify what games are actually faster than others because it's all contextual (camera distance etc makes a big difference, play racers in a first person "bumper cam view" and they'll instantly feel faster than behind the vehicle just from the perspective). But I've played plenty of WipeOut, F-Zero, Quantum Redshift etc.

Only played it once with 3 people and it was horrible yeah. I usually play with one other person.
I don't think Sonic's framerate is stable on consoles either.

It's not, I can't get over how different Sonic ASRT plays on my PC. However when I say about the multiplayer, I do have a group of 4+ friends around on game nights, so 2 player isn't really an option. We generally end up putting Mario Strikers on (normal Wii) and it gives us the best gaming sessions ever. I just wish they'd do a HD port of it.

My friends don't like Nintendo that much. :(
Bolded: Maybe that's NLG new game (a new Mario Strikers I mean, not an HD port). I personally hope not. :p Never played it, but I want something else from them.
Mario Kart 8 is miles better than ASRT, specially with all the DLC! ASRT is a still pretty fun game though, and I certainly appreciate how better ASRT is compared to the first game.
I hope there will be a new Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
It seems that it sold around 2 million on PS3/X360Wii U/PSV/3DS.
It was a good game and deserves more sales.
The next MK8 DLC could be made by SUMO Digital.
If Sonic can be in Smash Bros he could also be in Mario Kart.
S&ASRT also have some Nintendo nostalgic tracks: Skies of Arcadia, Super Monkey Ball, Billy Hatcher.
Faust said: they are pretty much the same, but i give the edge to MArio kart 8 cuz the rooster is more apealing
I find the bolded strange. Even though I know all the chacters in Mario Kart and prefer MArio Kart, I find the roster in ASRT better because the characters feel and look different. In MK, it's just Mushroom Kingdom guys (with the exception of Link, Villager and my favorite character, Mii!). Unless by "roster", you were referring to the tracks.
As for the underlined, I couldn't disagree more. I have only played the Wii U demo, but I have the full game on my iPhone, and ASRT is the Kart racer I've played that feels the most different from Mario Kart. I never played CTR and I only played Diddy Kong racing once, but every other Kart racer I've played felt llike a MK clone, except ASRT which has its own unique feel.

MK8 did it much better. It's like saying Galaxy copied off Sonic Extreme... Mario Kart 8 had some crazy level designs thanks to the anti-gravity feature. You also get speed boosts if you bump into each other while driving on these anti-gravity sections. Crash Nitro Kart didn't have the crazy level designs or the speed boost mechanic. It was a half assed feature in the game.
Being able to spam boost drifts isn't a good thing by the way. Mario Kart DS and MK: DD had that and most people are glad snaking is gone.
Because it doesn't work for Mario Kart... Which is why I don't like it as much. Snaking is a tactic that wasn't an original intent. Rewarding you for choosing to drift a corner, doing a jump or fliping your vehicle is entirely different than snaking. Hell snaking doesn't have any advantage in those either. Mario Kart isn't the same game as those, they work with different mechanics. Look up some videos and see if Sonic Transformed or CTR is bad because of those.
Also doing antigravity better than another game doesn't give the right to act like you're the first to do it. Which everyone acted like. How well it's done isn't relevant. Mario can mimic anything and it's fine Sonic Transformed was attacked for Copying MK7 lmao and it wasn't even close, it actually could be said it was copying DKR though but ppl didn't really, but MK8 does something exactly like in another game it got a pass lol. My point.
While all your other points for or against the respective games sound great and give me a good view from someone else's perspective, the anti-grav thing just sounds like beef, and not a reason to dislike a game. You dislike a game because of OTHER PEOPLE's reception to a feature of that game? That's like not liking a car simply because other people like a specific feature of that car more than you think they should. I think the graphics and polish were even more hyped than the anti-grav for one, and either way, the feature was used moderately, didn't feature in every track, and actually added to the gameplay by creating alternative routes/shortcuts in some stages, while being mainly an aesthetic feature in stages like Shy Guy Falls, where we drive up a waterfall and then drive down the other path on the same waterfall.
