Forums - Movies & TV - James Bond doesn't want to use Sony phones.. cause he only wants the best

Personally, I don't give a crap, if anything seeing product placement in moves actually bugs me.

Around the Network

There is 32 More Million reasons why to take Samsung Bid over the Bid that Sony's Very own Sony Mobile Bid for product placement into this Movie That is 32 More Million above the 18 Million Sony itself would have paid to the Studio for product placement!

and for what? To give an Xperia a little bit of exposure?, how would have Market share really have benefitted Sony's very own Xperia brand name?

Not freaking Much at all if any. While this deal on the other hand nets them 50 Million off the bat.

But..But Sony has no faith in the xperia brand, just like the PSVita right?
well if your Consumers do not have faith in your product, its better to change the product and move forward. Even if you are making a good Product.

Cutting More money loss areas in Sony Mobile needs more solid reasons for the board an CEO to show reasons why more cuts are being done, not just say we are making cuts to just have them.

32 More Million reasons to make further cuts to Sony Mobile is yet more proof the CEO and Board can show why.

Its up to the actor to decide this? Or even the director? It's a prop and if a brand is making a deal for it to appear in the film, it should be with the financial department.

Did you see "Gone, Girl"? It was the longest Volvo advert I ever saw and it ruined the entire movie for me.

"House M.D" also had some shameless product placement in its heyday; Apple products dominated the screen time and had more attention brought to them than the some actual actors in the show.

The Z4 was just announced, how can they already judge it whether its the best or not?

Personally, Samsung phones designs never looked stylish whereas the Xperias look sleek and classy, fitting for James Bond.

Hey man, fuck it lol. Have samsung pay Sony that 50 mill to have their phone featured in the film.

Yeah, does seem odd they are offering to pay that money to the actor rather than the company actually producing the film.

the 50 million is marketing for it, thats not being paid to the Actor!

Haha, that is truly ridiculous!

For some reason, my girlfriend never noticed the product placement in "Gone, Girl", which is surprising to me since it was so in-your face and frequent.
