Tell-tale really feel like one trick ponies and it can't be long before fatigue for their games sets In. I'm tolerating tales from the borderlands because I love the universe and story so much, but I honestly would just prefer to sit back and watch it with how poor the gameplay actually is.

Wanna hear a secret? I never finished Walking Dead Season 2. I got to the last part of the last episode but I wasn't invested at all. Sucks since season one was so good that I bought it twice plus dlc. It makes me wonder how long their style of game can go on.

I enjoyed The Wolf Among Us, but that might be because I also got into the Fables comic book when the series started years ago.  I've been enjoying the Game of Thrones episodes too.  But, I do agree that the framerate is awful at times.  I ignore it for the most part and just enjoy the story and the fact that I'm playing a game in a realm I enjoy.  I might try Walking Dead at some point if it is their highwater mark as you say.  I haven't yet, because I don't watch the show.  Same with Borderlands.  Never played the games, so haven't tried the TellTale one.

Can see it being good if its based on agents of shield or agent carter (or both, switching back and forth). Not sure if it would be convincing enough if it was about the big super-heroes.

And why all the hate?
I dont usually like the phrase 'dont like it, dont buy it', but after the number of games they've released without mixing up the formula, you should really know by now whether it is for you or not... so... if you dont like it, dont buy it.

I think thats kind of the point. By the sounds of it these will be the only marvel games we see on next gen consoles. Considering Marvel properties are highly suited to action and adventure this is a big dissapointment for those who already know they're not going to get anything close to the experience they may of hoped for. "if you dont like it, dont buy it."but people are going to let it be known first lol

However, we could all be wrong. 2017 is a far away, we don't know whats happening behind the scenes and one must assume Telltale are undergoing expansion with all the work they're doing and money they must be making. Maybe they'll try and incorporate more action into the games and develop a new engine, maybe Marvel will commision additional project between now and then with other studios.

I'm sure they'll be paying attention to Warner Bros Interactive output with the likes of Lord of the Rings: shadow of Mordor, Arkham series and now Mad Max. If Mad Max is a big hit I'd be surprised if Marvel didn't try to replicate what Warner has achieved.

I loved The Walking Dead Season 1, one of the best games I've played last gen. Season 2 was very disappointing though.

To be honest, I just can't stand Telltale Games anymore. Not only the engine, but the wait between episodes really annoys me. It took like 3 months for Tales from the Borderlands Episode 2.

I couldn't stop playing the first Marvel Ultimate Alliance from start to finish when I got it.  I thought the sequel was awful though.

The last several xmen games that I played were boring to me and I dislike episodic games.
