People mock Famitsu in every thread that is made about them. The mocking is bigger than usual now because of a high profile game.

The problem isn't the score by itself, but the score in relation to other scores they've been giving out. P&D: SME is basically a reskin of the original Puzzle & Dragons Z sold at full price.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 was amazing.  Have you played it?  its one of my faviorte games from last gen.

Honestly I doubted it, not from Famitsu. The Xeno series just doesn't get high scores from them. The fact that Xenoblade Chronicles (the original one) was rated so high kind of caught me off gaurd.

Good score for P&D! Puzzles, dragons and Mario, a winning combination.

FFXIII-2 was better than Xenoblade in my opinion. And I have a right to say it since I for one have played both.

Xenoblade is better than Lightning Returns though.

I don't see how the cited post refered to any concrete person in particular and no use of fanboy. If calling someone a fan becomes a bannable offense VGC is at the end.

If the cutscenes are long is a problem ok... but in a 300 hour game... how much represents those cutscenes from the complete game? Maybe a 1% of the total lenght, maybe a 2%? Very tiny flaw if you ask me. They say the story is good, but the cutscenes are long and slow. I would be ore worried about the story being bad. And again, a 2% of the game doesnñt represent the whole thing.

Far Cry 4 is rated 85 on PS4, 80 on PC and 82 on XOne. Which score should I choose to represent its quality? Id choose the 85, under the assumption that the PC crowd was jaded over optimizations and the XBox crowd over resolution. Its no secret that DAI wasn't well received on PC at launch because it had poor mouse and keyboard support. I have no idea what beef XBox owners have with it though. The game at its best is an 89. My original point, which you just supported, is that exclusive content tends to have an advantage in regards to review scores. By and large DAI did not have that advantage, but at its best was deemed worthy of an 89. But you would rather pick the lowest score to make the gap between it and Smash/Bayonetta larger. My other point was that it offered a lot of content and a better story than those two which would appeal to more Western gamers hence it winning so many GOTY awards >_>
