Needs Yacht Club's support. Super Shovel Knight as exclusive anyone?

XD, good idea, but I think there is a chance Shovel Knight would be ported.

Could you imagine if all the best known 'retro style indie devs' all banded together in a massive, high-risk high-reward, move to support this platform and mess with the AAA industry?

Wonder how many 90+ hour exclusives it would take before it became remotely noteworthy under such insane circumstances.

If they'd really manage to support it as long as they want to. It'll be able to accumulate some games.

I edited my post to say '5 hour' like I meant it to. Also I was hoping you'd give a number of such games.

I'd rather play the retro games (that already exist) on my Wii U where I can go off screen mode on the gamepad and move anywhere (or on my New 3ds XL for that matter). Also, I'm sure whatever 'new' retro games made will not JUST release on this device, but also on the eshop/steam/other streaming devices. It does sound interesting, though!

I don't think it'll have many exclusives except from the hombrew scene. But remember it's mostly aimed at collectors.

I'm pretty certain most games will not just be released for this. It's to give people choice. If you're ok with digital, this might not be for you, but if you want a physical cartridge and a simple console with nearly no OS interference, then it's indeed very interesting.

What's the point?

It's all about them cartridges.

I would be fine with it if he wasn't lowering the population of the Jaguar to do it. I want a Jaguar!

He isn't lowering the Jaguar population, he's creating new shells based on the original Jaguar moulds.

He even did a run of clear shells for people who wanted to equip their Jags with new shells.

i hope the get support from sega. 2 old games together, 39,99$ and we are fine...

"but will be a standalone system were retro inspired games can be published on cartridges"

Uh why. If I want to do that I will release it on real consoles. Games still come out on old Sega consoles.
