Forums - Microsoft Discussion - What if MS is going to announce new games at e3?

Itll be a mix bag. Some will be new games, some will be gameplay of games announced like Scalebound or Crackdown as an example.

THis is the case with every e3 since forever.

I'm hoping that a new Banjo game will get announced!

MS acquired epic's IP not themselves. Plus I don't trust any gaming companies. Remember exclusive talk and $1 billion investment in games before E3 2013?

Yes I remember, which part was untrue?  They paid for the publishing of Ryse, Sunset, Titanfall upcoming Tomb Raider and more.  Those are just the third party games.

I think last year they played it safe and this year will be when they really show what they have been working on.

Microsoft has Halo 5, Gears of War 4, Scalebound, Crackdown 3, Forza 5 and maybe Phantom Dust to deal with, it's possible they could announce one or 2 new things, but most of their conference will probably be geared towards Halo 5 and Forza 6, with smatterings of the other exclusives, Rise of The Tomb Raider as their timed exclusive and other 3rd party stuff, like the new Call of Duty: Black Ops 3.

Any new games will probably be announced with CG trailers just like Crackdown, Scalebound and Phantom Dust were last year.

Has it really gotten to the point where announcing new games at E3 is a surprise to some people?

Honestly, I can only see them announcing Gears 4. Hopefully there will be surprises, it'd be nice if we see Phantom Dust.

I'm waiting to hear them announce Joe Montana Football. I'm a PS4 guy but will buy an XBone the day JM16 is announced, if it's an MS exclusive.

You're right they only bought the gears franchise. But look, why would they buy the franchise if they weren't going to make a new one, amirite?

I'm not really sure what the point of saying that is since Microsoft announced black tusk was making a new gears game a long time ago, like almost immediately after acquiring the ip...

also, not sure what you are getting at with this thread, that Microsoft will make more of games?  It seems to me that microsofts strategy going forward is to only make Xbox 1 games that will then be able to be streamed to pc... Not the other way around.
