I think a fair number of previous PC sales will turn into console sales so I won't expect PC numbers to increase drastically

Why? PC gaming has become more popular, not less.

It has but still every franchise that lends itself to consoles play has seen that market overtake the PC one if I'm not mistaken? I might be wrong but I think
Dragon Age and Battlfield are now bigger on consoles then PC. If the console version can hold its own I imagine those with mid-low rigs may just opt for it instead.

People are daydreaming so much about this game numbers. I like The Witcher 2, but you guys need to realize TW is not Dragon Age, it demands a lot more of the player. Unless CD Projekt's changed that (God, i hope not), this won't become that mainstream.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is just over 3M, but it was released in november and EA has a bigger marketing budget.

Dragon Age never had the hype of Witcher 3, probably won't have the acclaim and gameplay wise looks less approachable whereas witcher 3 gives the impression of being a straight up action RPG. Even if its more difficult, unless that is tangible in previews I don't think it will effect sales much if at all.

Its got a bigger install base for day 1 purchases, a marketing deal with microsoft which should help it and a far less competition. I don't expect 10m but I do expect it to outsell Dragon Age on PS4+X1 quite easily.

4,5 million on PS4 is very optimistic for a 3rd game in a franchise that has never been on a PS platform. It will be biggest on PC and it will do moderatyely well on PS4 and Xb one.

According to VGC, not good I know, The Witcher 2 did less than 1 million on Xb 360.

Be hopeful for this game but don't be excessively optimistic. At this point selling 5 million across the 3 platforms would be awesome.

Although it was given away free as a GWG game in January so that may boost it's potential fanbase on Xbox (and to a lesser extent PS4).

Witcher 2 was released to no fan fare on the 360 and came a while after the game was released on PC. I don't think its sales have any baring on Witcher 3.

For sure possible but how many WRPG's did it? Skyrim did more than ten million but that game was so hyped and had great reviews/impressions.

I expect a lot from witcher 3.

I agree with you, 10M+ are possible (considering Skyrim sold 18M+ only retail).

You seriusly compared Skyrim with The Witcher????? O.o

Is also said that Evolve can sell 10,000,000 because Call of Duty MW3 have sold 30,000,000

The Witcher 3 is a very big RPG (the biggest in this year). It is a huge game!
Evolve was just a multiplayer game.

The Witcher has a lot more in common with Skyrim than Evolve does with Call of Duty.

It was a example...

Numbers on home consoles are way too high and PC copies are way too low.

I highly doubt it. 3-4 million LTD.

You do realize that Witcher 2 sold over 4m and Witcher 3 is looking like it's going to be more popular than Witcher 2, right? It'll be at least 8m lifetime imo. It's on 3 platforms from release, compared to 1 platform at release and a 2nd platform a year later for Witcher 2. It's trailers are getting alot more views than Witcher 2's did.

I honestly had no idea, i didn't keep track of the series's sales. For the sake of conviction, i'll stick to my original estimate.
