Forums - Nintendo - Capcom announces Monster Hunter Stories for 3DS

This is great news for the 3DS but I would've much prefer if this for Wii U instead as the 3DS already has so much love for Monster Hunter.

I don't believe fandom is the reason for the negative reaction to this game. This title's new artistic direction probably wasn't received well by Japanese gamers. Which is expected when an established 10 year old franchine tries to do things diffrently.

And why they are there? because third parties choose to, sony isnt paying them money like nintendo does for MH

Oh please, you don't even have proof of that... The Vita sells like shit, why would they bother with high profile games?

And Sony didn't pay for games like Bloodborne exclusivety?

MH4U already shipped 1 million units in the West, making it the fastest selling MH in the franchise's history (in the West).

So why no monsterhunter for ps4? the series started on ps2, its quite suspecious. Sony only funds games for new IPs like bloodborne they arent buying a series and lock it away for other platforms.

Street Fighter...

PS4 Japan sales suck and it's a lot more costlier to make games for the PS4. Less sales and higher development costs...

Do you have any idea the number of IPs that started on Nintendo consoles that are no longer there?

Are we still going to go by that 3 year Nintendo contract? Cmon, its sounding pretty bad. That excuse for how many years now, no matter how you look at it... MH on 3ds would destroy PS4/vita multiplat in sales. Its just a smart decision on Capcom, especially when majority of the fanbase moved to nintendo platforms.

SF5 could be a timed exclusive, capcom always brings out another super ultra turbo edition etc. There are a lot of monster hunter similiar games out for ps3, ps4 and vita like god eater, tokiden or soul secrafice. It pretty much proves its profitable to release monster hunter as a multiplat.

I dont agree with Ruler on the MH argument, but those games he listed did sell extremely well. You dont need to sell 1mil for it to be huge.

Eh, people call games like Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze underwhelming in terms of sales and that sold 1.04 million on a smaller userbase.

Has a nice looking art style. Didn't seem like they showed any actual gameplay though, so I'm not really convinced yet. :/
