AR is waaaaaaaay cooler than VR. Hololens looks awesome. Rift and Morpheus (think I misspelled it) is a waste of time and money.

If you are looking at Hololens as a gaming peripheral then you are not seeing the bigger picture, this has nothing to do with AR vs VR or Hololens vs Morpheus.

AR will be finished much faster than VR tech. So I'm looking forward to this more than the VR tech we have at the moment.

People, you do realize that this is easily achievable with a front facing camera on any VR headset.....

With AR you'er always restricted to the Same environment. How is that more promising than VR? Also, just look how AR has been used on 3DS and Vita! I mean, Miku in my room is cool and all. But other than that? Never have seen it used on an actual game, just some demos.

this article just sounds like an extension of PR, talking up its processors without really explaining much about them. its all sizzle and no steak. "imagine this, imagine that". i dont really need to imagine, we already had AR products many times before. and as far as comparing it to VR, well we dont really need to imagine, people have tried VR and written their experiences. this just sounds like a fanboys hopes and wishes rather than a objective article explaining why AR>VR.

AR is going to be a more mass-appeal device but not in games. AR will probably be the next "iphone" if they get navigation and texting and video conferencing done right.


but AR is shit for games. VR has more potential here because it is more fun to be put into a games world then to have a game brought into my boring ass living room.

This hololens doesnt look impressive at all, its just another gimick to me
