Plus I don't think the story-writer of XCX will have only fetch quests, and is highly unlikely. So don't say things without evidence.

XCX is a sequel so you can expect more (and similar) content than the last game. If the original is to go by then I'm pretty sure the amount of fetch quests will go from 1.000 to at least 100.000 to fill those 300 hours they talk about.

XC's quests weren't only fetch quests, there were story quests, timed quests and others, of which are not all fetch quests. I haven't played the game myself but I can say that there were quests where you had to defeat certain monsters, plus, XC and XCX aren't relying on quests, in-case you didn't know, each have their own story, and how you play will most likely be based on that.

And I´m not so sure about that, critics are praising Splatoon because its something fresh on the genre. Don´t be so surprise if they don´t give the goty to Call of duty 17 and instead they decide to reward a new original IP with tons of potential.

I doubt the 300 hours are from the story. I can bet 80% of the content is from the quests.

And I bet some of it is behind paid DLC. Shameful.

Yoshi is for platform goty imo (have the game awards a platform category? other webs have it). I think that Splatoon is going to be bigger than you think, But we´ll see.
