There´s a category for best family game too, and Splatoon has already win that imo.

And I´m not so sure about that, critics are praising Splatoon because its something fresh on the genre. Don´t be so surprise if they don´t give the goty to Call of duty 17 and instead they decide to reward a new original IP with tons of potential. 

Best family game isn't a very important goty award...

And besides I think Yoshi's Wolly World is a better candidate for that award.

Yoshi is for platform goty imo (have the game awards a platform category? other webs have it). I think that Splatoon is going to be bigger than you think, But we´ll see.
