In a perfect world, where Sony wasn't concerned about sales, I think it'd be great if Sony denied Activision any license to release BO3 on Playstation. Not only would it mean Microsoft wasted money buying timed exclusivity on DLC et al, but it kneecaps Activision's potential install base. Win+Win in my opinion.

Like cod or not, that would be suicide for PlayStation.

Nah, not even remotely.  You guys act like CoD is the lifeblood of the industry.  Funny fact, PS2 and PS1 did just fine without it.

Good question! I think still Microsoft.

Except for the Playstation fans that like Cod?

Some people just don't have empathy.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

I have plenty, only for people who deserve it.  Never saw a shred of empathy from any console user when CoD went console exclusive.

would rather have microsoft stop being assholes and not pay for timed dlc

It would be quite a kick in the balls for MS if Acti went with Sony for marketing CoD. But I suspect MS probably ponied up for several years of marketing exclusivity for 8th gen CoD before the start of this generation. And Cod is popular enough that they don't need to care about Halo.

And of course exclusive marketing on Xbox for CoD is better when competing with Halo, than having all the marketing directed at PS4.

Or, more likely... More people will just go out and buy an Xbox One if that happened.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

No.

They will partner with MS.

But majority of new franchise will in the Sony side.

Cod brings in a lot of casuals. If one console offers cod while the other doesn't, which console will they choose. Ps2, ps1 didn't have an online game like cod but so didn't the competition. No advantage given away.

So many casuals, no console's ever topped the PS2's sales numbers.  Three cheers for casuals?
