i really think the problem was that it didnt appeal to the west. all the appealing handheld games are on the 3DS in the west. a Vita 2 would be a terrible decision at least from my POV. "What? i bought this Vita for $200 and got no enjoyment out of it. now its just being dropped for a new Vita 2?"

I'm not sure what games you're interested in, but I have more games that I enjoy on my Vita than on my 3DS, so it's really a preference thing. If you bought a Vita and didn't like any of the games, then perhaps you should research the games on consoles before purchasing them?

There we go, does that work for you? I'm well aware of how out there some of the Vita games are, but they lack the brand recognition of games like God of War.

Vita has been almost entirely third party support for a while now. The last 1st party game that was released was a free to play Fat Princess game in January.


I don't call late port and niche games a good support.

the only real effort  by third party is the Assasin's Creed game ,call of duty was not even made by activision.

Sony first party are not big system sellers especially on Handheld even if all Sony first party had a psv version Vita won't do a lot better

I think Sony should let Vita continue as it is . Aka getting "niche" games and Indies along with more experimental stuff. It´s a fun little device but Sony can´t "save" it at this point. If Sony is smart they won´t create another dedicated HH as that market will shrink even more and won´t be sustainable in the not too far off future.

- bundle it with the PS4 for much less then buying both individually
- trying bringing out exclusive big third party game (how about finally getting their own Resident Evil game that was suppose to come out for PSP?)
- extremely cheap memory cards / on par prices with SD cards
- new model with a much different look (ie. PSP Go style?) to completely revamp the Vita image (just don't be dumb like Nintendo with their "new" 3DS that only some games can play on it and not on older 3DS models)
- more strong 1st party games (new GoW, infamous, TLoU etc..)

It's four years old now right? It is on its downhill from its "prime" year. So I don't think it can be "saved" when you compare it to the PSP, but they just need to release a buttload of games for it that are good.

The majority of the Vita's titles are RPGs.

There are other genres on the system, but most are RPGs. So unless you are a huge fan of RPGs, there really is not a point on getting the system.
