There is also an itch that so far has not been scratched (worldwide). People are looking for the next great survival horror. RE has taken steps in the right direction, but the story has long been convoluted to a point of it being a joke. 

Fatal Frame may not take that spot entirely, but I think it will be the closest thing we get to it for a long while.

it may really have good numbers, sales-wise in the west. hope they'll add DLC content like what they have in Japan.

Hopefully it will come with Fatal Frame IV.

As amazing as that would be, since Fatal Frame 4 is criminally overlooked and really awesome, I'm going to class it as unlikely since the game had some glitches that neither Grasshopper nor Nintendo wanted to take responsibility for fixing, which is likely why its localization fell though initially.

Fortunately, the miracle of modding and homebrew means it's playable in English anyway. ;)

It probably will become the bestselling game in the series. I can see it selling just over 200k in the west though ,it's sales, will probably be between 180k to 200k.
