Overpriced DLC in SSB? Dont make me laugh, do your homework before making this claim.

BTW we are talking about Fighting Genre, so stick to it and not MK8 as a comparison. You do not see how long it takes to do somethings as well which takes apart in this in DLC. There's a reason why for example KI releases the number of character it does in its timeframe.

Because others developers decide to go in the lazy route, doesn't mean Nintendo is excused. They could have released the characters like Mewtwo rather than one of the clones that comes with the game. But you can keep paying for overpriced mii costumes.

clones are clones which means they don't take time to make a new character does however. besides it's not like the game lacks in content

The clone argument is so weak it hurts. Take away the 3 clones and there are still 48 characters to play (excluding Mewtwo/Lucas)

If they didnt add Lucina/Dark Pit/Dr Mario, we just have 3 less characters. Not mewtwo in >_>

Yes. They were relevant after Virtual Boy, they will be relevant after Wii U

Nintendo was the no.1 console maker during that time though. Virtual Boy was just some odd experiment that failed while everyone was waiting for the N64 to launch.

Yeap and nowhere near as many characters and not a working online/no online.

Instead of taking the normal/standard route of fighters by adding maybe 2-3 characters to the total roster with cutting a huge percent, SSBU/3DS adding 15 new ones and brought back most of there veterans for a total of 49 characters vs last entry 36 (39).

Like i said, you currently dont understand the situation. SSBU is already a game that is huge and a ton of content in it. You dont have to buy the DLC, but dont argue that characters should of already been placed in the game day 1 or talk about clone characters which obviously you cant understand the point of their entrys.

When you come back, put home console in the title...
The title as is of now,is invalid...

Nintendo is always the most relevant company in the gaming industry, so yes. And the competitors aren't putting enough effort into actual gaming, making it easy for ninty.

Well, it can't get any worse, can it?

I think they will turn it around, yes. They have to!
The console wasn't one year old and even stores were dropping support for the HW and games. If i'm not mistaken, from my experience, it was even worse than GC, in that regard... and that's saying a lot!

They have to make something BIG not just to convence gamers, but retailers aswell.
They just can't risk going through another Wii U.

The gamepad won't go away.
If they want to make next gen console and handheld, like brother and sister, so that there is no more game drought, the next console will have a screen.
It might be more stylish, though.

3rd parties couldn't care less if the controller has a screen or not.

More important than coming up with a cheap console, 3rd party support, they need to show consumers that they can get a Nintendo console, not just for Mario and company + ports of games they can have on their consoles - along with a bunch of exclusives that they like; they need to show that the next console, along with the Nintendo classic games, ports, they will also have a really good number of exclusives that MS and Sony fans do care about.

Offering ports and improving it's release scheadule might improve sales but not in a relavant way.
Something BIG has to be offered right from the start to make people leave their accounts, all the exclusives they would like to play on XB or PS, leave the vast online community on those consoles, etc.

Otherwise what you'll get is that ports are announced for the console, people will cheer and when the games arrive, people will ignore them and buy that version on the other console, because there's more to be had there.

Build a market for your console and gamers, along with 3rd parties will come.

Nintendo's made themselves into a niche player in the console business. Nintendo is still dominant in the traditional handheld space, unfortunately for them though that market segment is shrinking because the number of people willing to carry around a separate game-only portable in the age of the smartphone is dramatically shrinking.

Sony is honestly the "real" mainstream console maker. Sony has had success with every one of their consoles and in the 20 years in the business have dominated Nintendo for 16/20 years (and counting). Their worst selling console (PS3) is going to end up finishing very close to Nintendo's best selling console.

Nintendo is just not very good at competing with Sony consoles. MS is a little better but only marginally so.

The worldwide audience is voting, and they are voting with their wallets overwhelmingly in favor of Sony. Even in Japan it looks like the PS4 will overtake the Wii U without much fuss. Nintendo isn't competetive with Sony consoles anywhere.
