The longer they go on without mentioning Metroid, the more people forget about the series and hope for a new game and then by the time they actually bother to make one it will just fall flat on it's face.

No one has the faintest idea. Maybe the rumored 3DS title was canceled to shift focus on the Wii U version, or maybe its still being developed.

Yes, now that we know that Retro is working on some new game with new engine and seing how Nintendo has been testing the audience to see if the the hype would be real. Yes. We´ll see a Metroid, maybe this E3, maybe.

No, Nintendo knows that Wii U has to take a bow quickly. However, they will still support it with games but it isn't likely we'll get lesser popular titles. Then again, they are doing Star Fox so I guess anything can happen. Stop talking about E3, you're getting me hyped.
