Do you have sources to back that claim? Afaik the only divisions not doing good in the last few years were TVs and mobiles.

Not to mention PS4 was making money from day 1 with a game and subscription sold.

Do you lol.  As i remember all but finencials were weak even movies.  

New hardware launch always is at a cost, everything makes money when sold.  Being profitable is another story.

"GT6 poured hundredths of million of dollars int" bringing 100s of million $ revenue is a different thing than making 100s of million $ profit. And no I don't think GT6 even brought in 100s of million $ revenue at launch considering it might not have sold more than a million which is less than $40-50M profit after subtracting costs. Only sold 300K in the US which is 25% of what GT5 managed.

Considering it debuted at 20-25% of GT5 I doubt the game has cracked 2-3M worldwide.

No, it sold bad because Sony did´nt build the hype for it. There were a lot of games on PS3 that sold great that fall, but not GT6, why?

Not really sure that's accurate, frankly, it had nothing to do with the PS4, and everything to do with GT6 only being a marginal upgrade over GT5.  Sony and PD didn't really make a concerted effort to show people why the new one was necessary (ergo, improvements upgrades etc...) while PD was still actively supporting and updating GT5 on a regular basis.  This, had far more impact on public perception, than the incoming new generation.

Because they couldn't no matter how much marketing penny spend on it. The hype for PS4 was unreal and no one in Europe cared for GT6 after just buying the PS4.

What games sold well that fall on PS3 outside the traditional Fifa, CoD and AC? Because Puppeteer didnt do well, Beyond sold less than Heavy Rain despite having Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe behind it.

I wonder what a GT6 remaster would do for the PS4.
