Releasing in the holidays would've lead to increased competition with other titles (even a better, more desirable Mario game: Mario Maker) so I don't think that would've gone over well. They released it at the right time imo, during the spring with little competition and with a new amiibo line. It should have legs for a long time, especially during the holiday period.

Around the holiday's all games sell really good, and I was saying that I didn't think MK10 was gonna sell a ton until the holdays. ;)

Hey, there aren't many new Wii U games out that hold a popular IP name on Wii U...this is good but sales can be a bit skewed due to the drought.
