Confirmed: Zelda delayed to release on NX

These are just figures estimated by VGC, far from reality, don't rely on them.
In March PS4 eclipsed both X1 and WiiU combined in the Global and in Europe. Just wait for Sony Official figures.

Yeah true, but I think somewhere on this website there is a section that says their numbers are just estimates and they don't represent any actual factual numbers. |
Of course, I know that they are estimates. But their margin of error is so huge that they fall more into a "guess" category. I said many times, VGC is a great tool for archival data, but current numbers are usually terribly wrong. Especially with software, they are usually so far out of ballpark that you need to take a cab to get to the game.

VGC bias against Playstation confirmed.... and to a lessor extent, the game industry as a whole :p

ioi should read that! And Vita is still undertracked in January 2015 in North America...

Could say the same about the figures you are using |
We have to wait for Sony official figures :) I don't trust at all VGC. If I'm not wrong, they undertracked PS4 in the Global from 1st Jan to 28 feb by 600k. Then, they adjusted with Sony Official figures, released by March the 3rd.

I don't really care about numbers this old, but I'm glad we got them. Hopefully ioi will catch up to the current dates.

I have never seen an explanation for the way global numbers are calculated.
For PS4: 69,544 (NA) + 51,781(EU) + 33,363(JP) = 154,688 while the "Global" number = 195,306.
This makes the factor to calculate the global number = 1.26. (Global sales are 26% of NA+EU+JP).
For 3DS this factor is = 1.08
For XO1 the factor is = 1.13
For PS3 the factor is = 1.35
For Wii U the factor is = 1.07
For th PS Vita the factor is = 1.26
For the X360 the factor is = 1.17
For the Wii the factor is = 1.07
I can understand that Sony sells better (than MS & Nitendo) on markets other than NA+EU+JP, but I would expect the Wii to sell more than the Wii U on these markets.
Anyone seen an explanation to this?

Edit in bold: I fixed your math to make better sense.
I would assume that these other countries aren't as wealthy in NA, EU, or JP. Therefore, you will likely see a larger spike towards the end of a console generation for the rest of the world than at the beginning. (when it is more affordable)
Wii and Wii U numbers are fairly close, in regards to the ROW, due to the Wii's early spike in the 7th generation. This will ultimately cause the ROW to purchase the console previously as opposed to right now.
My proof that the rest of the world sells better for consoles at the end of the generation is shown with the PS3, XB360, and Wii sales over the PS4, XB1, and Wii U respectively.

Another factor would be the huge success of the Wii and the lackluster performance for the Wii U for these two numbers to be fairly close. Thanks! (It is always hard to explain your math calculations to others, thought that the jump to percent would make some people confused)
Yes, there are many possible ways these numbers are what they are, most probably they come from some statistical calculations from ioi:s personal database. I have never seen them explained or even discussed, but I could easily have missed the explanation.
EDIT: Put these percentages in order and you will see that Sony is on top and Nintendo is in the bottom. 3DS, at least, should sell OK outside NA/EU/JP, I would guess better than PS Vita.
PS3: 26.4%
PS Vita: 21.1%
PS4: 20.8%
XB360: 14.6%
XB1: 11.74%
3DS: 7.65%
Wii: 7.1%
Wii U: 6.9%
