Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo needs a Direct, N- Oh, wait. Never mind.

Don't limit yourselves to one console, you don't need to pledge allegiance solely to Nintendo. There's more out there than Mario and Zelda. You'll only get bored and disappointed being an exclusive player. Don't spend another year of your life patiently waiting on something that'll turn out to essentially be the same as the last.

The only Wii U game I'm planning on buying this year is Devil's Third, because of Itagaki, that's it, I'm not hyped for anything else. There's nothing else that they've announced or likely will announce that I'll end up buying.

I can see why fans are pissed off, I am too, the game was shown, promised, and now taken away. And if it does end up cross gimmick with the "NX" then it just proves that Nintendo don't care about the Wii U or the fans who bought and supported it.

I guess you mean with a release date cause Xenoblade X, starfox, devil's third and yoshi are still a thing.

I dont understand the sudden panic. Is this just because of the zelda delay?

Tell me, what do the PS4 and X1 have after the witcher 3? Maybe Halo on Xbox if it doesnt get delayed aswell. What else? This selectiveness really has to stop.

Honey...you are so ignorant it hurts. The ps4 and One have so much more than the Witcher coming out.

I tend to think of my Nintendo consoles as complementary systems, so if there's nothing on my wii u they'll be something on my 3ds. Wouldn't say kirbys nothing but it's not AAA or likely to appeal to everyone. Also we recently got the metroid prime trilogy and Mario Galaxy 2 so personaly my Wii U's having plenty of use.

May for Splatoon, Yoshi is still slated for the next few months as well. Xenoblade Chronicles X for sometime in Q3, i would guess, with perhaps Devil's Third in the same region.

The hard part is the holidays and the entire rest of the year for 3DS

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Not as bad as droughts for Xbox One or PS4... (first-party, obviously)

Seriously, though, I think that the news about smartphone games and last night's update about Zelda further cement that Nintendo is planning something big, and we're just all in the dark about it.

A) They needed to update us on the unfortunate news about Zelda when they did, because by the time E3 comes around, people will have accepted and gotten over it, and will be judging E3 by what is there, instead of what isn't.

B) The smartphone/ DeNA alliance news is good to know now, because had it come out at or around E3, it's all anyone would be talking about.  It really is enormous news.  It would have over-shadowed Nintendo's software lineup.

It is true, that Splatoon, Star Fox, Mario Maker, and Yoshi's Wooly World alone are NOT enough for a full year's worth of Wii U software.  Not by a long shot.  All of those game + two E3 surprises, though, and that's an entirely different picture.

My point is, I'm glad Nintendo has gotten all of this "house-keeping" out of the way now, because at this point, probably all we're going to get between now and the rest of the year is games, games, games.

I'm actually very excited to see what Nintendo has planned for the rest of 2015.  I assume it's something big, because Zelda was originally the tentpole release for holiday 2015.  Perhaps something else has gotten moved up in the production schedule to fill the hole?  Paper Mario?  Luigi's Mansion?  Metroid?

All I know is, I'm excited.

Again, that's not the point. You could own 20 other systems with games that come out every day, and this would still be a problem, because the Wii U is currently a $300 (I bought it when it was still $350) investment people have made with almost no idea when anything new is coming out for it. Especially after delaying it's biggest game of the year, this complete and utter lack of knowledge on anything is unacceptable.

Its coming in weak or two.

I think they need a direct as well but I personally think that everyone is over exaggerating the issues here. But if they do have a direct, I think they have to show SMT X FE and Star Fox. That'll calm everyone down.

This is my problem though. May when? That's effectively next month, yet still no date. Yoshi being in the next few months is a guess. XCX being in Q3 is a guess. Devil's Third, which I struggle to even consider at this point, releasing at around the same time period is a guess. And then there's the holiday and the rest of the year for 3DS where we literally solidly know nothing but Fire Emblem If and Bravely second in Japan. And we've been this way since January.

That's not an acceptable amount of knowledge for us to have at this point.
