Famicom.

Family Computer.

On NES, you bought one system that stayed the same and never changed for the entire life of the console. You went to the store, bought games that were (unless they weren't good) 100% tested and complete (no DLC) for one price. You popped the game in, you played. Simple, easy and totally different than PC.

That was what console gaming use to be... console gaming. That's the point here. That consoles have become PC "like".

How can there be so much truth to this statement and people will still come in to refute it? Oh yeah, because opinions=facts these days if enough people agree.

Once, I wanted to play Ultima 8. It was such a cool game that my roommate had on his PC. When I tried to install it it made me do things like create a boot disk, and who knows what else. I never did; I never played. A console, particularly the ones I grew up with, wouldn't make me do this. It's plug and play. Simple.

Plug and play... yup. That about sums it up and it's a phrase that should be used going forward when trying to describe what consoles should be about. Right now, we are so far away from plug and play that it's more like plug, create user, insert game, install game, install update for game, play game.

I think the moment I realized shit just got real was when I bought an Xbox One (briefly). I took the console home, unpacked it, hooked it up, booted it on and logged into my XBL account. From there, all I should have had to do was put my copy of GTA 5 in and play but NO. I had to sit there, watching this damn thing install forever. Then, on top of that, I had to install a massive update. By the time I could actually play the game, 40-50 minutes had past. And don't even get me started on the Master Chief Collection voucher. I ended up taking the entire system back three days later and not even getting to PLAY that game because it wasn't finished downloading lol.

I don't know if people are putting up with this stuff because they have no choice, or if they're just stupid. But I hope they stop because as long as sales are brisk, it's only going to get worse.

ReviewtechUSAs video [S] is total BS and misinformation.

Fixed that for ya, his videos turned from semi decent into pointless clickbait some time ago. He was the reason I went off to find the (you are not interested in this persons channel) option on youtube because he makes vids related to anything going on .... but all so terrible.

Gotta say... he also openly mocks gamers for having social issues at times while... I'm not sure if you've ever seen the man behind the camera but... yeee he isn't one to be throwing stones about such things, hypocrisy is one of his videos many issues.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive
