what I normally look for is a good healear, a melee and and a de/buff caster. Try to find a good combination between attacks, healing a buff/debuff.

Dont fuse just for the sake of doing it, but try to cover weaknesses and always get better stats. Some demons can grow quite a bit, so dont worry if you dont find a good demon to fuse, just keep using what it works until  you find a good match for a fuse.

Yeah lol all of my demons are a mix. I've been paying more attention to fusing away weaknesses, but with attacks, all of my demons are a bunch of different roles. I just beat Madusa last night, and basically fused all my current demons to gain a force move to exploit her weakness, especially since my MC didn't have the move. Killed her with one demon left lol.

Thats a good strategy at first. Actually the compendium is pretty important since you can buy the demons back. Try to keep updating the compedium so whenever you need to get a demon back, you get all the most recent attacks/skills and stats...

Yeah, I kind of figured that out organically when I accidentally fused two of my important demons together. Thank God for that lol. I'm actually pretty sure I'm near the end of the game. To avoid spoilers, I'll just say Blasted. I'm at the end of that where you click a button in a room.

I think that the difficulty of the game can be over stated, though. I didn't find it too difficult, though I've died like 50 -100 times so far, so I'm not one to talk lol. I think that the press system makes the game a breese most of the time, and it only gets truly difficult when you can't exploit it. The people who said that the game gets easier towards the end were right on the money. Not that I mind, though. The battle system feels satisfying because if this exploitation.

My MC and all of my main demon slots have a Fire, Ice, Electric, and Force move, and now I also have two Almighty slots. The rest have been reserved for stat buffs and such. I'm trying to think of it like Pokemon where coverage is everything. Needless to say, every one of my demons are ones with high magic stats and MP.

Depends on which path you take. One of the endings is much longer than the other two (it is also the hardest ending to get.) Depending on the ending you should be at level 70-90. (I think you're at like lvl 55 at the part you're at now?)

I'm at 59 now. I'm not sure what level I was at at that point, but it had to be like 50 or something, because I've been through quite a bit since then. I'm in this... Uh... I'm trying to defeat four things of a specific color right now, if that let's you know where I'm at. Not sure which "path" I'm on, because I was shown both, if that makes sense.

...18 optional quests. -_-

Don't know if I'm finishing this game now. That's bull shit. It was a great ride, though.

I assume you didn't get the Neutral Path? If you had, those wouldn't be "optional."

I pretty sure I did, because I'm with Isabeau, and the other two are gone. Plus the guys in white weren't very subtile about how "neutral" I am.

I said optional because they literally tell you that they're optional throughout the game, and now all of a sudden they're all required for me to beat the game.

I'm just going to add a list here of all the Challenge Quests that need to be completed in order to finish the game if anyone accidentally stumbles apon the Neutral path like I did. I really don't like this, but I'm sure this will be a big help to anyone in this same position.

I'll also be crossing out the ones I finish and using *** to mark the ones I have active, as sort of a check list for my self, so don't mind that.

Don't cry and don't try to throw your pad on the TV. It's perfectlyunderstandable if you loose to the same boss over and over again.

More seriously it's just try and die, once u know the weakness of the ennemies and boss and becomes much easier. Just never forget anything not critical is wothless.
